Does anyone know if i finish the test before the 30 minutes is up do I have to sit there and wait for the timer to time out or can I submit it early?

I'm not sure if the admin (or the person who created it) is constantly monitoring this forum, the first message says the following: NOTE I don't have control over the spreadsheet, and I don't think the person managing it is monitoring the threads currently, so for updating the spreadsheet please e-mail CACitizenship@gmail.com with your application info.

Not at all . Once test is complete , I would suggest review it again and then submit even you complete the test in 10 min. Good luck

IRCC requests a copy of all pages of your passport one more time to make sure that you are in Canada on the day of the test

I got my test invite today and scanned copy of passport request (Dec16).

Really? I didn't see that request when I was taking the test ? and I just double checked the email and the attachment in the email and I don't see a request for copies of my passport pages. I know there was a note that mentioned to not have any VPN turned on so I figured that is how they would be able to figure out I am in Ottawa. I could be wrong

Not everyone receives the request, some people were not asked for a copy of a foreign passport. I was invited to the test on Jul 22 and I was requested a pdf copy of my passport on Jul 23. Sender is "DN MIS Citizenship E-Test / Examen en ligne Citoyennete MIS RN (IRCC)"

As for VPN, I'm not sure how they check it (or if they check it). But they can cancel the results of the test if they discover that someone is not in Canada (e.g. stamps in the passport, CBSA information when they do presence, prohibitions and language assessments).
To be honest, I have no clue why someone's physical presence is so important. IMHO it's a rudimentary requirement that should be abolished in the digital age

Yeah I read in another forum that some people get the request and some don't. Maybe they will ask in a couple of weeks, who knows? All good though. Thank you for your response

But it seems the vast majority of people have other steps after that, background check, passport page request. Is it normal for none of those steps to be present?

They dont request to verify the candidate's location.
Many people are in US and outside the continent. CIC officer can very well check from cbsa records as they would be doing it as part of eligibility verification. So they ask passport pages to cross check the travel detail that was mentioned in the application. Last year they never asked for all pages of passport(unlike in the last many months they started asking to submit all pages of passport).

Actually they shouldnt be asking these documents and waste their time and our time but cant do much as they still follow age old processes.

It's holiday time. I don't predict movement on any files until mid January. I wonder if I'll make the one year mark not moving from April 23

same here. last updated on July 2021, still everything is pending except background check was completed...
