As an exciting conclusion to my adventure in seeing if the MP in my area could give any more information than I already knew (and for your Friday entertainment) I present the most nothingburger of responses :

Not sure what's criteria of IRCC for the test invitations . Struggling with same last update on April 23rd and don't feel happy to see it again again

criteria is mood (of the officer, the unwritten rule being followed unfortunately)

The only difference is in the "Good Morning" and the MPs letter head

And the fact that the ATIP notes has a lot of confusing notes which are difficult to comprehend......

Seems this way since officers are given too much power to decide however they subjectively feel about the applicants.

Hi, just an update! Gave my citizenship exam today and passed! Also had recieved the official email from IRCC for the citizenship exam on July 30th, very next day after it updated on status tracker!

Now just to wait for it to update on status tracker that I've officially passed and then hopefully next step Oath!!

My online tracker was also updated today finally yay! 'New Update, waiting on you'. Test date range between july 30 and Aug 19. I'm so happy, it seems like the Montreal office did not go on construction holiday after all lol.

Update:

I received the official test invite email on July 26 and took the test today August 14. Passed with 20/20, I lucked out and got the easiest questions from their database, very basic and absolutely no history questions or anything requiring deduction from the info in the booklet.
