Question to those who have done the oath ceremony.. Can it be broadcast so family overseas can watch?
No. If your friends and family are in the same room as you, they can watch the ceremony with you. However, you can't record or broadcast the screen.

IRCC was/is considering this option but it isn't available yet because of "technical limitations" (or something on those lines). I found this discussion buried somewhere in the 353 page corporate records document that I obtained via an ATIP request.

It's extremely frustrating and disappointing to keep checking your tracker every day and see no updates. I haven't seen any updates in 3 months since my test was marked completed!!
i think your file is gone into non routine. check the officer notes.

I don't think it's unusual to wait 3-5 months given the inefficiency of IRCC in handling the backlog they caused to themselves and to us in the first place. If more than 5 months passed I would start worrying about my file being marked as non-routine. What are the officer notes? Do I need to request them?

Yes not yet. Only if it crosses 6 months as i could see few people got their DM after 4-5 months too.

Im not sure what the trend is these days after the tests probably ppl get DM within 3-5 months after the test. If not then its not good news.

Congrats. I have updated the spreadsheet.

If they haven't started processing your PR card renewal application, you can simply withdraw it and you will automatically be refunded within 2 - 8 weeks (if you paid the fee online).

https://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/fees/refund.asp

How to ask for a refund if you paid online
If you’re eligible, we’ll automatically refund you if

  • you withdraw your application
  • we refuse your application
The amount you get back will depend on the type of fee and the status of your application. If you withdraw before we start processing your application, you’ll get a full refund.

We’ll only refund some fees if

  • you withdraw after we start processing your application
  • we refuse your application
How long to wait for your refund
Eligible refunds can take between 2 to 8 weeks to appear in your account.

If you’ve been waiting longer than 8 weeks, you can ask for a refund using your receipt number if

  • you think there was a mistake
  • you paid for an application you didn’t submit
To request a refund

  1. Sign in in to the account you created with our payment service
  2. Under “My receipts,” find the correct receipt in the list and select “Get receipt” to view it
  3. Select “Request a refund”
