November 2018 Outland Applicants (Spousal Sponsorship)

Hi guys, I am a Nov 21st applicant with file transferred to London visa office on 02 July and AOR 2 on 05 July.

Having heard nothing since, I decided to order the GCMS notes and put a case specific enquiry via the webform on 01 Sep. I received the GCMS notes yesterday from which I concluded my file was 'Put Away' in London visa office. As per the notes, eligibility, criminality and security had not started, which meant the file was basically put aside. However, the notes were generated on 5th September which meant any latest updates would have been missed out.

However, this morning I got a reply to my case specific enquiry via webform and the immigration officer confirmed that eligibility had been passed but criminality and security were still pending, meaning it would have been done only after 05 September. They also said that they couldn't provide an estimate of when the other two would be completed.

Does anyone know how long do they take to do criminality and security after passing eligibility?

We have the exact same timeline. I am not sure how long it will take. Hopefully we hear about them soon

It could take weeks up to months apparently.

I am so sad, grrrrrrr and upset after nearly 3 months my file being in London they asked for additional documents. Couldn’t they do this a bit earlier. I doubt this is going to end anytime soon

The registration of the marriage at the Swedish tax office/ marriage licence! I only submitted the certification I got.

These documents are so hard to get since I don’t live there nor does my husband temporarily but we got married there. So I don’t know if they will put things on hold for us till they receive the additional docs

Can’t u get it on line somehow? Or call some lawyer there to do get it for u?

I dont know for sure about Sweden but in Norway it's all digital and if you have a birth number then you can request these type of documents online. If your husband has family there that he has a registered address with then the documents can be mailed there. Said person can then forward it to the appropriate address. Today we received ‘confirmation of permanent residence interview’

Our application is outland but my husband is currently in Canada visiting.

Such a great news to start our week!

I dont know for sure about Sweden but in Norway it's all digital and if you have a birth number then you can request these type of documents online. If your husband has family there that he has a registered address with then the documents can be mailed there. Said person can then forward it to the appropriate address. Anyway I hope that the systems are similar and this is easier then you think it is. Good luck

I called them, they are so strict about tax documents. I am not born there and my husband is from Middle East! They said they will mail it but I have no trust. I might book a ticket and go get it myself.
