November 27th. Just difficult that everyone else in November reverece theirs and quite a few people in December. I don't understand how December applicants can get it before November. Anxiety is at a high level at the moment.
Oh I understand. I was seeing early Decembers starting to get theirs and there I was still waiting. I started to think something was wrong, but nope, it's just that no one had bothered to review my app. Hoping you won't have to wait quite that long for the relief.

Good morning, I signed into my acct this morning only to find a message saying my medical was not submitted. I have an email from the clinic I did my medical saying they had submitted on February 22nd. Pls how do I go about it. Is dere a way to submit it myself because I have a copy of my completed medical form from the clinic.
Any news on your medical? We submitted on Feb 22nd too but so far status in GCKey hasn't changed, still says "we have requested a medical exam".

We sent copies of the receipts from the exam to IRCC within the 30 day period and I have proof from the clinic that the results were uploaded, but not sure either why the delay is occurring.

Hi all,

With my husband now have a OWP, we’d like to invite my mother in law to come and visit us in the summer as we are expecting a baby. Does this some how impact his PR application? Since he’s not a PR yet(I’m Canadian citizen) and inviting his mom to visit after he’s been in Canada for 6months raise any flag?

We can show she has a job and husband back home to she will go back after visit us. Would this help?

Don't get me wrong!!! I would LOVE to be over witht his process and be able to resume to a normal life with my hubby, away from this stress!!!!! I started working towards this since May 2017 and thanks to our naivité and stupidity we lost a lot of time. Anyways, my dream is to be a PR by June! All I want is to only focus my energy on my family and our lives.
Sounds like the story of my life:-(

On my app it say background check not applicable, what does that mean and does anyone have an app like that ?
Mine says the same, either they haven't updated or they are just not on that stage. This is normal though, don't worry

How many days CIC usually takes to start processing BG after approving the OWP?
What's your personal experience?

Mili80, I think that the restrictions on your work permit are standard for all inland spousal OWPs. My husband’s restrictions are as follows:
1. Not authorized to work in childcare, primary/secondary school teaching, health service field occupations.
2. Unless authorized, prohibited from attending any educational institution or taking any academic, professional or vocational training course.
3. Not valid for employment in business related to the sex trade such as strip clubs, massage parlours or escort services.

Again, I don’t think the OWPis reliant on the medical in any way~ the medical is for the permanent residence part of the application.

My bet is that the restriction from working with kids or vulnerable adults (health services) is because OWP holders haven’t yet had their background check done ~ so there is no way of knowing (until this is done) if there is something in the person’s background that would be a red flag for working with kids or people who are elderly/disabled.
My husband just received his letter with restriction 2 and 3 only. We didn't send medical exams beforehand.
I was just wondering about number 2, since he was planning in taking some courses in a college.

We got restrictions 2 and 3 as well and are wondering the same about #2... I assumed that it's there to basically say that you still need a Study Permit for any type of study that would require it, but would like some confirmation if anyone has more information. It would seem a bit strange that the restrictions for studying get more restrictive with an OWP then they are with a visitor visa (i.e. study for less than 6 months, non-DLI institution, etc.)
