Hi canadagoldman,
I too face same issue accessing ECAS. received AOR last week and was able to access the application in ECAS last saturday. When I tried again today, its not letting me.
what i came to know is that when they are moving the case from novascatia to the visa office, this could happen as they need to change the status of the application and other details. not sure how valid is this information. lets wait couple of days and try again

One more update from my side, I have sent some additional docs via email to be attached to my file and got a reply from CIC within 2 days that they attached them to my file...this was quick...

I read this post of yours.
"My payroll was not run for 2 months due to some administrative issues and hence they paid me later not as a salary but some allowance to compensate. Due to the tax deductions and all, the amount does not exactly match the amount on T4."
I have a similar situation, my company has a policy that if the assignment is less than 3 months then they dont shift the payroll to Canada and they give the per diems. In my experience I have 4 such months where I was paid perdiems (which are non taxable as an allowance) and do not show on my T4.
I am thinking of sending an explanation letter to CEC. Can you send me the format? Or help me suggest what I should mention in the letter.

I had applied for work permit for myself and my wife. They asked for a medical exam for my wife. they didnt mention anything about how to send it back to them. Will the doctor send it it to them or we have to send it . please reply

Any one received request for medical yet. My friends ( applied under PNP) who got their Application number on the same date already got their medical done on 1st Feb.
Also, My company recently merged with another company and got laid off due to this.
Will this effect my PR application since I also applied for EI.

People who applied under Provincial nominee got their medical after 3 month of submitting application at Federal.How much time it takes under CEC. I was checking applicants from May, it look like it take around 8 months.
Person who got PR has following status
Application received on May 3rd, credt card charged on May 11!Waiting for AoR..
So this means it will take atleast 6 more months till every thing is done.. ( not all people from May reached this stage )
