Hey guys,

It is a good thing that some people are starting to get the AOR. I am a NOV applicant but I have a doubt about reference letter. Can someone advise me if the mentioned duties below are matching my NOC:

I will include in this post two things, first is my duties from my job as it was submitted, and my duties from my NOC 2231. However, I have been having some doubts since I submitted my application if they are matching or not since the NOC duties is too general and my job is too specific. Therefore, it would be really appreciated from anyone to go over the duties below:

My duties as mentioned in the letter:

Mr. ------- as a Civil Engineering Technologist his duties include a variety of structural engineering functions related to the services we provide for construction review, building retro-fit and building investigation. These include the following:
-Design
-Review of shop drawings
-Review of structural work under construction
-Issuing site instructions or change notices
-Attendance at site meetings
-Investigation of building components
-Report writing, specification, cost and material estimates and design of retro-fit or repair details.

HR Canada NOC 2231:

Civil engineering technologists perform some or all of the following duties:
-Develop engineering designs and drawings from preliminary concepts and sketches
-Prepare construction specifications, cost and material estimates, project schedules and reports
-Supervise or conduct field surveys, inspections or technical investigations of topography, soils, drainage -and water supply systems, road and highway systems, buildings and structures to provide data for engineering projects
-Conduct or supervise inspection and testing of construction materials
-May supervise, monitor and inspect construction projects.

Civil engineering technicians perform some or all of the following duties:
-Assist in developing engineering specifications and drawings
-Participate in field surveys, inspections or technical investigations of topography, soils, drainage and water --supply systems, road and highway systems, buildings and structures to provide data for engineering projects
-Perform other technical functions in support of civil engineering activities.

YOUR ANSWER AND TIME WOULD BE REALLY APPRECIATED. please please please please.

Hi Guys,

I've got AOR today.

That's a best christmas gift for me :)

Congratulation man

Thanks everyone!
Looks like date when they charge your CC doesn't really matter. What matters is the date your application was delivered to CIO, so they are processing all applications sequentially based on delivery date.

Finally I can see the transaction happened on my CC. After a long wait ..Thanks to CIC for charging my CC with in this year..:)

CC charged Dec 21, 2012.. Happy dooms day guys..:)

Stay Blessed
