Great news!!!

My partner got her passport request today, by email. (We are Canadian and American, applying through the Ottawa office). Hoooray!! It looks from the timelines I've seen like we can expect her actual visa to be issued within the next 30-60 days. Which is amazing and awesome and means that she can actually look for paying work when she gets here.

I hope that you all get good news soon too!!!

Did the email say anything about an interview? I ask because today I got an email that says there is no need for an interview, and they requested a copy of my passport. Is this the official request of passport that we have been waiting for??
Any info you can share would be much appreciated!!!

Thanks for the info! And little bit about us, my husband is Canadian, I am American. We were married in July 2012.

As for out timeline:
We sent in a complete application (medical, FBI, and fee paid) to Ottawa on November 3, 2012.
It was received on November 7, 2012.
Sponsorship approval was received on January 14, 2013.
Interview waived on April 19, 2013.
Copy of passport requested and and sent on April 19, 2013.

I have made updates. Congrats to those with great news of visas!! I will be away for a couple weeks and will try to keep up while I am away. I do apologize for the tardiness in updates.. however I am celebrating with all of you! And will try to get them updated asap!!!
