it is like the log notes of what has been done on the application...each step by step in detail. it is generated from a system that CIC uses for maintaining and tracking applications.
GCMS stands for Global Case Management System...so at times if you are wondering on what all has happened so far without your file, it is a good thing to apply for...but again, what I have heard is, it takes about 30 days to get it....

lol, no escape from delay...

also BrazilianGirl, GCMS Notes are notes that the visa officer makes about your file, ive been told its mainly to see if they've found any red flags in your application.

Thank you, guys! =]

Hi Ms Malawi
Just wanted to find out something from you. I notice you received AOR from Pretoria in February. Am just curios ie what did the actually say and do you know how long they take to process the applications once there are in Pretoria? It looks you are almost there now. We were delayed by the medical as they gave us 60 days ie by March to send medical. My husband did it immediately and sent if off to the officer in CPP Ottawa. Many thanks

Hi Mrs N, please feel free to ask anything. This is one big happy CIC family and we are all here to help!
My husband had to resend a form and we received a reply from Pretoria saying that our application was there. Not a traditional AOR, but I counted it as it confirmed our application had arrived! It just said when to contact them, how to contact and that they would be in touch at some point. Have you checked out the Pretoria thread? There are some timelines there that may help you out. The last two I heard getting visas from Pretoria, one was approved in 3 months and one had an interview and done in 8 months I think. So it all depends on the country you are coming from and how strong your application is in the eyes of the IO. Wishing you and your husband all the best and hopefully you get some good news soon! :)

Hi everybody!!!

This is another of the co- sufferers for Spousal PR at the hands of the proceedings by CIC in New Delhi. My timeline is
Application received : 15 Nov. 2012
AOR : 26 Nov 2012
Sponsorship Approval and File Transfer : 6 Dec 2012
Passport request : 9 Feb. 2012
Passport sent ( thru Blue dart and received by a stamp as shown by the tracking service): 13 Feb. 2012

I don't have any idea that PP was received and attached with the file or not, though the tracking service says it has been received at the receiver's address which I have checked many times that I had filled it right..
No update since then...
Status is still Application received.

What's the date showing on your "application received"?
Don't worry. Soon you'll have your visa! Good luck!

I have a question that is a little off topic but kind of has to do with sponsorship. Recently, my father just got laid off from his job, and through his job he purchased medical insurance for me and himself. So now that the he doesnt work there anymore I no longer will have health insurance at the end of this month (which is coming around very quickly) and I need to have health insurance because I have a condition where I need to take a medication every day or else I can end up hospitalized or something can go really wrong in which case I'd have to leave my job and then we'd have no money at all. My husband works for Lowe's, which is an American company, and through Lowe's he gets health benefits through an insurance company called Manulife, which i also believe is an American company. Now, my question is.... Since I am an American citizen, can I be covered under my husbands benefits since we are married and he has benefits through and American company? Or do the international borders and everything to do with me not having rights to Canadian health care etc. restrict me from getting that?
