November 2012 Applicants Unite!

So long story short, my wife and I walked to the post office this morning to grab the package from the Canadian Embassy in Hong Kong. So we got there and opened it up and all the original documents were there, plus her passport and a her COPR. My wife couldn't stop jumping up and down, and in China that gets a lot of stares, plus I am white to boot.

So my time line was;
Application sent: 15 Nov. 2012
Sponsorship Approval: 1 Dec. 2012
AOR from Hong Kong:10 Dec. 2012
PPR + extra info (birth certificate): 08 Feb. 2013
Passpot Sent: 25 Feb. 2013
COPR issued: 05 March 2013
Passport Back in Hand: 13 March 2013
Landing: 07 July 2013

So from App sent to COPR issued: 111 days total, which looks like a record for the Hong Kong VO, or at least that is what my wife's website is saying.

And one final thing I am very happy with how quickly Hong Kong got it all done. 16 month VO done in less then 4 months. My wife and I must be in the top 10%.

Awesome! I can imagine how excited your wife was! I believe I'll do the same when my time comes!

They received my application on February 8, 2013 and forwarded my Application to Singapore on February 21, 2013. when i check the status online, it shows - Application received. Do you see the same thing or does it show - in process?

Same here. Our status still says "Application Received"...

Congratulations to the people already getting their PPR and visas! I'm looking forward to hearing from fellow Ottawa or U.S.-based applicants! We probably have another month or two at least, though... No speedy time-limits for us, unfortunately!

I hope the energy picks up for you in Pretoria. My husbands lawyer told him that me and him will have to conduct an interview. I told hubby dont worry honey he doesn't know what he's saying. There won't be no interview I promise you that. Only kingston can determin if an interview is needed not a damn immigration lawyer. Oh that lawyer upsets me.

Well I have never put my trust in him I did my own thing. I have emailed KGN got the response I was looking for. Submitting supporting documents when I go down there printed off 60 pages. I have faith and believe no interview or him will stop us from being together. Interview will be waived and I know my hubby will be home this year. I am pushing and working hard to get him here.
