CIC updated Nov. 20......my application was received in Nov. 16 and am yet to hear from them. I called them on Monday Jan. 28th, they told me i should be expecting result in 3 weeks time. Hopefully, i will hear good news before then. Fingers crossed.

hi all. just wondering if there's anyway to get in contact with the los angeles visa office other than e-mail.... i have absolutely 0 written proof that my husband has been approved to sponsor me and that our file has been transferred to los angeles. i sent an e-mail to them already and they never ever reply, same with the new york office and same with the e-mail provided on the CIC website. i just don't feel 100% comfortable about having no documentation about where my application is if for any reason i may need it somewhere down the road. thanks in advanceeee!! : )

Little Relief..at least now I can see ECAS updated to file received Nov. 28 2012...

Now, what would be the next update (possibly assuming all papers in order)?
Is it Stage 1 - Sponsorship approval?

That would be the next stage, unless something is missing. And with luck it may already be in the mail on its way to you! Can always hope!

Most VO don't answer the emails unless it's past the normal processing time.
You could however contact CIC and ask them to re-issue the letter/email that you never received. They can do it only if a certain amount of time has passed (something like 4 weeks), so they might be able to send you another letter or email regarding the decision.

The wait continues...

Called CIC, but was told to wait until my received date is beyond the date shown on their status updates. At least they confirmed my email on file... I was hoping it was wrong and already approved lol

what I have seen most commonly, it would next be something about your medical have been received and then, yes likely sponsor approved.

after those, it really depends on your VO. for us, we then didn't hear a thing until the passport request.

Thanks! Just looked it up - He did his medical on Oct 19. I mailed the package on Nov 26 and it arrived on Nov 27. - Just for the spreadsheet.
Still waiting for word!
