Great news shronak, I am still waiting. Did u get an email? Im checking mine every second! If u haven't lived in Canada since u were a child, I don't think that changes anything. What kind of proof did u give regarding ur plans to move back?
Hi BeccaShar,
I got it by mail.
I didn't realy send a proof. I asked the canadian embasy in TA and they say that for my status (I'm married 15 years with 3 kids that are also have canadian citizenship) I can just write a letter with my plans. I realy hope it would be ok.

They probably do process them in order, but most likely need extra checks for some of them. They move onto next applications while waiting for a response on their queries. Also, each officer is probably allocated x number of applications at any given time. As they finish with each application, another gets added to their pile.
In a way this makes sense, yes, but it's still weird that we haven't heard of anyone of those who applied in early November getting news from CIC. But yeah, maybe you're right :)

Hi Guys!!

As per email from CIC that our application received on nov 14th and I received AOR on 22nd nov by email. I checked e status using the UCI nr and it is showing in process in place of Sponsor and Application received in place of Applicant. Didn't get yet Sponsorship Approval since it is 14 days over after AOR. As i have noticed that almost everybody is getting same day AOR and sponsorship approval. Bit confused.

Londongurl: what do you mean by your medical form was not the original? My husband's form was like a copy of IMM1017 filled by the doctor and it has his photo on it! Hope that's the right one!! We see some people being approved so quickly and we start to wonder if our documents are complgeted, if there are things missing etc.. It's crazy! But I guess it is also normal!! :'( ::) ???
I had to send the original copy of the Medical to canada, and my medical office send my results to the Canadian embassy in London

hi guys,
i'm back in the US from Canada now... since yesterday. i guess the immigration officers on both sides don't really think i'm suspicious in any way because the only one question i was asked was "What were you here for?" and that was through US customs going home. i really reallyyyy missed my husband though, and still do lol. but he gets to come visit me for Christmas at least : ) i have one question though.... is anyone else who applied closer to the beginning of november ( who havent recieved approval yet ) getting nervous about "uh oh why are others getting approvals and not me what was wrong with my application?" or am i just nuts? lol... i hope and hope its there every day but nothing yet, my application got to the location on november 1st, and i still havent heard a word. now im starting to worry if my husband put the address down wrong and whatever else, just wanna know if anyone else is experiencing the same kinds of feelings lol.... impatient i guess.
You have been over the 32 days posted on the CIC website, so I think you should be able to call and find out what is going on. I would be less than patient...probably climbing the walls! I've been sending lots of positive thoughts and prayers your way for your approval.

there is no rhyme or reason on the way CIC handles applications, and no definite rule about AOR and approval... some people get only one ( approval), some get first AOR then approval a few days later, and sometimes there is a delay between the two.... as long as the date on the website is not passed, you have nothing to worry about. you probably will hear from them very soon, but it's difficult to wait, that's for sure! :)
Fingers crossed,

I have added you to the spreadsheet - see in M_and_m signature - if you want more information (dates application sent, medicals done, VO etc) just post it here and I'll update.

Is it weird that the weekly update only moved up 2 days? Or is that normal? :(

Ya I had thought that the update would have been moved to sometime in November as well. However I think it is easy to go by the number of November applicants on this form and some of the speedy sponser approvals and assume that it will be the same for everyone. I then step back and clear my impatient noggin and realize that there must be a huge number of applicants wishing to immigrate to Canada (And why not, great country that it is) that are not represented by this form. Imagine how many calls the help center must recieve in a day reguarding enquiries about their application. Once you put a processing date and number of days to process the application, applicants can call in when their application goes over the number of days specified. And how many applications are recieved by CIC on a daily basis? You tell everyone that you are processing app's recieved on Nov 4, with a 32 day average to process the forms. How many more applicants would start calling in expecting results. I would imagine that they understate the actual date of applications they are working on just to help reduce the call center workload. And probably a CIC employee is handed a stck of applications to work on and if they are straight forward they move through their pile quicker and on to the next stack, hence the speedy sponsership approval in some cases. I hope mine gets done soon though,,,it is very nerve racking waiting for some form of notification. As you all know. I guess patience is the key... ;)

i thought it was odd too, but they have done that before. i check it every day because i'm obsessed, but one week they did the exact same thing... moved it literally by two days. it was in october some time. weird but maybe that's the answer to all our questions, maybe they are taking a long time to process october applicants and havent moved onto the november pile yet lol. i'm just going to try and look on the brighter side and say that the reason they are taking as long as they are is because our application had either over or just under 300 pages worth of stuff lol (forms and all required documents included). it took me 3 months to put it together, so i would imagine itd take a long time to go through it as well.

this question is to IslandAnnie and all others from the november group who have recieved approval so far:

roughly how many pages did you guys have in your applications? with everything in it? just curious to know if maybe anyone's was a little more brief than mine and maybe that will prove my theory right lol.

Our entire package was around 250 pages, plus a separate envelope with a large stack of photos. Not sure if your pictures were included in your page count or not..some people have been sending their photos on regular paper, mine where old fashioned regular photos. I did a lot of reading on here about how people put their package together.... no staples, but a wide range of envelopes, paperclips, labels, index tabs, post-it, elastic bands, etc, etc. In the end, I went with my instincts and went with minimal arrangement - one elastic band around all sponsor documents, one around applicant docs, and one around proof of relationship (and photos in an envelope).

When it's all said and done, I don't think the package has anything to do with how fast they get processed. I still believe that it is complete "luck of the draw".. as someone said a couple of days ago "you maybe get in a fast pile or a slow pile".

bscinto92, you must be close to being over the 35 days posted... I'd be on the phone to CIC saying "HEY!! WHAT GIVES???" lol

Good luck to everyone still waiting.
