You received ITA right? So, meaning you ITA may be tied to your old passport number? Or they're totally unrelated? We don't know!?

I think you can update details within your EE profile on the PR online application. Here's what I think would work.

1. Update it while you can.

2. Include a letter of explanation regarding the Passport renewal thereby explaining the reason why you updated your PP details in your PR application.

3. When you send scanned PP pages, send both new and old, starting with the new PP's first page.

4. As always, send an email to the NSNP case manager explaining the situation. Additionally you can send the new PP copies to NSNP if they want.

Whatever you do, as Kishore advised, make sure the steps you take don't cause delays.

Remember our meeting in NS? No delays, keep in mind!!

Thanks Luder... The info is very helpful... But I am still in doubt as to how to update to CIC guys...

Here is how I update Renewed Passport with Nova Scotia guys. Just attached the scanned copy of passport with the email. Following is the correspondence:

My Email:
"Hi Nominee Officer,

My Nova Scotia Case ID is
XXXXXX

I have renewed my Passport as it was going to expire on 31st July, 2017. So I wanted to update you on this. I am attaching with this email the scanned copy of my renewed passport. Please do the needful.

Also had a request to guide me as to what process I do need to follow to get my renewed-passport updated with my application. If their is something that I need to do, please let me know. Also do I need to update Express Entry profile? If so what do I need to do for that?

"

Nominee Officer Replied:

"Thank you for this information. I have added your updated passport to your file here at the Nova Scotia Office of Immigration. You will need to update your application with IRCC (CIC) if you have not yet received a decision. How to do this, this question will need to be directed to IRCC, our office does not have access to how you do this.
