Not receiving any emails from processing center (CIC) after 8 weeks

Hi,
I have submitted our family class sponsorship application back in Nov 2018 and have not received any emails yet.
doing an online research, i noticed that the usual waiting time is 6 to 8 weeks to get the initial email from the processing center. for me is now taking longer. I do have two questions:
- will it take longer than 8 weeks after your application reaches the processing center ?
- is there a way that i can follow up the status of my application?

CPC Sydney is currently taking between 2-3 months to process most applications, but there's the odd few that run well over to 120+ days.

Tracking the November trend, we're currently averaging 63 days for AOR - so depending on when your application was received, you may be close to getting your email.

My app was received on the 21st and I've not got mine yet either.

yes, but i am in such primitive stage that I do not have client ID yet

Also, with the link provided to ECAS. You can use your receipt number from your payment to check the status. (It may come back stating there's no information yet, this just means processing hasn't begun)
