Just an update from me, i took the test on Sept 9th, pretty straight forward if you do spend time reading Discover Canada and the other test resources out there. I did have a short interview before but because i have so many stamps in the passport, i had an interview after and the immigration officer asked me to provide further information. She gave me a form CIT 520 form with circled couple of things to confirm residency, copy of all pages in my passport, NOAs from the CRA, rental agreements, mortgage documents etc. I think they think i have been absent to much so they want to make sure i've lived here. I do travel quite a bit for work hence the stamps in my passport so i think they want to double check. It took me couple of days to get everything together and sent the rest of the paperwork today. Hopefully it won't delay things for me. I had no other questions except where do i work.

Hi
I also have a lot of stamps in my passport . I have a couple questions for you if you don't mind:
When you sent your application how many days was your residency in your residency calculator?
Are the documents requested for the 3 year residency period prior to your application?
Do you mind to list the additional info they requested so I prepare them ahead of time?
Thanks a lot!

when you say that you had lot of stamps in your passport, does that mean you had them in 3 years period which is counted towards your citizenship or the period from your landing date to your interview date? Please explain.

So Msafiri, people who took their tests in August cannot expect an oath invite for October? is it gonna go beyond that? Appreciate your opinion. Thanks.
Depends when in August the test was. Late July 2014 test takers are getting oath in 3rd and 4th week of Sep 2014 so its possible for Aug test takers to get oath in Oct. I expect test takers from Sep to start having a longer wait for oath if Calgary doesn't increase the number of ceremonies. If the CJ doesn't have to approve every file as per the new post Aug 1 system then he/she can partake in more ceremonies.

I have about 7 trips in total. 1 within the "3 years period" and 6 after I landed.

I have travelled 13 times last 4 years before I have applied the citizenship. They are all correct travels (pleasure and business purposes) . Don't they checked the entries on the passport and in their system? We have right to travel 1 year max last 4 years.. Why are they making this a big issue and issue the RQ for this?

Do you know anyone here travel a lot and didnt get any RQ? Or we should expect RQ 100% if we travelled a lot?

Shozee, did you get a test notification? The excel sheet says Sep 22 nd for you. Dont know if its a mistake or not. Also, can you change it to the date you received the notification on ECAS. Thanks.

Hi,
I am eligible to apply for citizenship around end of October. I heard that processing time in Toronto and Montreal decreased to 8 months. What about Calgary? Do you have any information about that? How long does it take?

Hello
Question for msfari seeing the situation when can u predict test for end of March lot
My timeline is
Applied in nov2013
Process feb 4 2014
Lot 27 march 2014
When should I expect test any idea would appreciate your response

I dont know what is happening with prairie provinces. Calgary is one of the slowest offices in Canada. Majority of Ontario and BC applicants finish the process in less than a year :( Can't say things are more complicated in Calgary because Vancouver and Toronto both have more mixed population

I applied from Calgary. My application was received on September 8'2014. Still waiting to hear from CIC for next step.

Hi friends,
FYI, if you have any non English/French stamps in your passport, it might be a good idea to translate it before you are called for the test. a friend of mine just had his test a couple weeks ago and he was asked to submit translation. My friend already had his translation with him in hand and hand it to the officer. So I thought to share this info so you may avoid a delay in your application post test.

Good luck everyone!!!!

I'm going to submit my citizenship application by Saturday Sep 20 2014.
Any one can tell me approx, what time frame i can get my citizenship if all my documents are correct.
Also what approx, date i can have my fiule number, finger print and test?

Thanks
