Hello All,

I am working as Procurement Specialist.
Please help me finding NOC Category for this position.

I see NOC 1225 and NOC 1215 two different codes for similar roles.

NOC 1215 - Purchasing and inventory management co-ordinator
NOC - 1225 - Purchaser / Procurement officer

If I give NOC 1215 I get more points in BCPNP

Thanks

When you say procurement specialist you need to be specific who you are, e.g purchasing officer, inventory controller, contract analyst etc
If you are not supervising anyone then you should select NOC 1225. If you are a supervisor, team lead, superintendent etc then you shall select the NOC 1215 . There is no extra point whichever you choose for FSW application as these NOC's both fall under category B.
However, if PNP give more points for 1215 then you need to look at supervising side of things e.g. any mention on your job description about supervising, leading etc. That will be the key words.
To make things even more confusing NOC 1225 has a line mentioning that "this person can also supervise workers in this category".

So again if you have anything mentioned about supervision on your job description then you can select NOC 1215 safely, based on my personal experience. If still not sure consult with an experienced lawyer on NOC codes because when i asked about this few months ago no one answered and i had to trust my gut feeling.

Hope this helps ,
