19 Months!! :o Good grief!! That's such a long time and that is only the initial evaluation. Have you been in touch with the Alliance? Did they tell you why it's taking so long? Mine took 14 months in all and that includes the delay brought about by some confusion re our transcripts vs. course curriculum in my school in naija. Where did you study PT in naija?

Hi 9j,
My CO is on leave for a week. They asked me to send an email and wait for correspondence from them.

That's ok. Do send the email. If you haven't heard back in a week or 2, give them a buzz back.

It is not compulsory. However, It is preferable that you send in your application and notarized documents to the Alliance first before your school sends their documents. That way you'll have a file in place with the Alliance before your school document arrives thereby reducing the risk of misplacing your school documents.

I see. I just thought 19 months was way over the top.

For the context of PT Practice, I completed the Alliance self study module. It used to be that you can request to complete this once the Alliance has a file and a PIN number for you. I hope this is still the case. To do this, you need to contact the client service administrator by email and indicate your interest to complete the module while your credentialing is ongoing. She'll send you the module options and application form. Once you chose the Alliance module on the option list and send in your application form and fee, the module material will be sent to you by post. It is a simple and straight forward module to read. I think it took me two evenings to complete it. There is a declaration form that you need to send to the Alliance once you have read the module, you will need to complete and take to a notary public to attest. Your credentialing officer will send you an email confirming that you have met the requirement about 4 weeks after you send in the declaration form.

Hope this helps.

Hi!

The self study module is no more applicable for applicants after 2012 January. There are other options.
