My documents status is "Sent for Source Verification" since 02 July 2014.
But on 08 July I got a message from MCC saying that ECFMG has responded by saying "The Medical Degree has a foreign fee requirement. At times, the institutions require additional verification fees in a currency other than US Funds. For this reason, you will need to contact the University of Medicine and settle the amount before verification can be performed. Please ensure you contact us once payment is rendered and we will then proceed to have a new source verification request sent".
I went to the university and communicated with the in charge person; he told me that they haven't got any request from Canada so far, and there is a payment around 3 euro..... [yes I know...] and it can't be paid prior to the receipt of the request from Canada. So, you should wait until we receive the request.
I sent a message back to MCC clarifying all the situation and how the university proceeds, and of course asking them to let me know when the doc is sent for SV.
Now I am confused. Have ECFMG actually sent the SVR to the university? (the status of the docs is still "sent for source verification" though).
Should I wait for MCC to send me another message or I shold go a chech at the university whether the SVR was received by them or not?
As by calculations, today it is 12 days since the docs appear to be sent for SV, on physiciansapply.com
Please suggest,
thank you
