PLEASE can any 1 tell me how would one know whether documents are sent for SVR to medical college or university? :'(

1. MCC review and acceptance 3/4 weeks
2. Transfer to ECFMG 3 days
3. Receiving of ECFMG 3 days
4. Sending for source verification 3 days
5. Reaching medical college/university 10 days
6. College/university processing 10 days
7. ECFMG receiving 10 days
8. ECFMG processing 3 weeks
9. MCC receiving and sending ECA 3 weeks

Note. Above is my personal experience and timelines. I'm at stage no 6 above.

I intend to apply as Sonographer (3216). I am confused regarding my ECA; I don't understand whether I should apply to Medical Council or WES for my ECA? Please note that I have done MBBS Degree.

Dear I am FSW 2013 applicant, NOC 3216 with MBBS degree, Last year I sent degree to WES for ECA but they returned it saying MBBS degree has to be done with MCC. So I did with MCC took 1 month as of total to finish !
So send to MCC. if any further help require, feel free to ask !

can u share ur timeline of time taken by mcc for svr..
have u done svr with ecfmg before, because svr done in one month----dude u r lucky i think

Earlier (last year) since I am FSW 2013 applicant, I sent documents to WES, and within 2 week time, they sent me e-mail that you possess MBBS degree and MCC is relevant body to issue you credential assessment report. Anyways, by 3rd of May 2013, I applied for MCC Verification.

Created account online, paid fees & requested for documents (MBBS, Passport copy, certified identity confirmation form, PMDC, Internship certificates) I got these all attested from Canadian embassy in Abu dhabi, & sent them documents via DHL. Within 2 weeks time, my documents were viewable.
By 3rd week of June 2013, my Passport, certified identity confirmation form, Pictures & MBBS degree were verified (as per MCC Online account) & I was sent email by MCC to contact PMMDC (Pakistan Medical & Dental council) to settle payment issue, since ECFMG sent verification letter to PMDC. I called PMDC, & they verified/confirmed that they have received letter from ECFMG for verification & they asked me to send payment of 6500 paki rupee as service charges/courier. I did it immediately.

Meanwhile, Important point..........................You don't need PMDC/License verification confirmation for ECA. Once MBBS Degree/diploma is verified, you can apply for ECA REPORT. In 2 weeks time I received ECA report.

Yes I feel it was quick for me, once your MCCC account showing document received/process, contact your university immediately & confirm if they have received verification confirmation from MCC. & You really need to push them up to act upon immediately. Most delays are not from MCC but from our institutions. This is what MCC told me. And I agree with it.

If you are in UAE, Canadian embassy is no longer accepting attestation & have stopped attestation services since last month (may 2014). You can get attestation from US, UK, Australian embassy (which ever is feasible). I have heard you can get attestation from notary public but I am not sure. I didn't took this risk to get my documents back based on notary public attestation. Moreover if you get attested from embassy, documents are believed to be more authentic & genuine.

Anyways, by 3rd week of May 2013, I applied for MCC Verification.

I know someone from Last year FSW 2013 applicant who sent SRV to MCC, For him it took 3 months and more, & delay was primarily due to his university which was not responding to ECFMG . Please contact your universities & check if they have received any email/letter from university for verification purpose. Usually ECFMG contact university via email, and to license/registration body (Indian medical council, Iraqi medical council, GMC, PMDC etc) via courier.

At this point all you need your MBBS verification & it can be quick proviso you keep checking on your university for ECFMG verification & push them . For me I didn't contact my university as my university was quicker than me to respond.

I didn't knew even my MBBS has already done with verification procedure till I randomly opened by MCC Account one day & to my surprise it was verified. So I was not sure when exactly it was done. lol

This immigration Procedure takes h-e-l-l of time !

The awarding institution..... your degree should have your university name (rather medical college), as University issued degree (not a college). so check with University. Also you contact your university administration department & confirm this issue. My understanding is......University will be contacted.....
