I also concern about applying into Express Entry after applying to FSW14, based on the following reasons:
- if apply, can take advantage from current IELTS scores and ECA before they expires anyway.
- there is hardly a chance for getting 600 points from job offer or province nomination as being a foreign doctor anyway. Even though entering the pool for job market but without Canadian registration, who dare to hire a MD?
- Unless CIC choose applicants based on occupational cap as well, otherwise a MD almost never "stand-out from the ground". The pool is crowed by younger participants, or by applicants with non-registration occupational who have absolutely much higher chance of getting a job from the pool market then can jump up the line/queue.

A lot of health professions in Canada require registrations which can't be done outside Canada. What is a way out ? How to get a job offer, left alone LMA certification?

Unless there is a province/state nomination program in 2015 which do not require a job offer!

(This "spiral requirement" appears in Australian immigration process as well (called Skill Select)).
well explained. In canada the job market is not open for foreign doctors unless they pass the 3 exams defined by MCC. believe me, its tougher than USMLE and prospects for foreign doctors are much better in US or Australia. Most of my friends there are not into the medical profession right now.they are studying some subjects related to health but not medicine. Its the harsh reality but there are exceptions and always there will be some.
What i mean to say that Unless CIC develop an invitation pool based on professional categories, the foreign medical graduates will suffer. Cause other professionals like managers, software engineers, nurses, caregivers have more chance to secure a job offer. Actually EE is just an old wine in a new bottle inspired by australian model.
But if you apply early then there may be a chance. one thing i will say also that now all the provincial nominees will also apply in EE which will give them a quicker access.
I dont like EE much cause it seems unfair for certain NOC's.
I will stick to my FSW application and wait......because i know its tough to manage to ships at a time for me.

you r completly right,it still one provience which does not require a job offer all the time and it has rights to select its candidates according to its criteries(french language plus expierence ....) it is my Lovely provience Quebec :), that's why i applied to it as i speak french and english(for Quebec most important thing is French) and this is make people don't apply for this program

FALSE .Canada is opening up but its still difficult .There is acute shortage of doctors in certain specialty & superspecialty.
Its all demand or supply ,if its a specialty they want there are routes . I know some engineers here who became Canadians & then went to med school in Carribean/Russians & are practising here . But overall you get in you stick on long enough
If your degrees are from UK/Australia/NZ/Singapore/HK and some more countries you get licensure .Please see link
http://www.royalcollege.ca/portal/page/portal/rc/common/documents/credentials/jurisdictions_e.html

Also Alberta & some other northern provinces accept physicians with foreign degrees and training through Practice based assessment "Practice Ready Assessment Route (PRA)" . Google for it .

So dont get worried . I wanted to go back from Canada after my superspecialty fellowship here but i decided to stay back. Infact have a job offer if i pass MCCEE .
Btw my specialty degrees are from India.
So dont get disheartened.

thanks DR. Tarek. its a very helpful link. i was searching for this kind of programs and found it thru you. thanks again.

@babakasmani,- you can always argue but i told in my post there are exceptions. i know medical degrees form certain countries are recognised in canada but i am from bangladesh. my degree is not recognised, and yours also. now if i am young enough i can stay in canada for 2/3 yrs to get citizenship then leave my family in my country and then i will go to med school in other countries another 3/4/5/6 years then come back and start in canada as a doctor. uff, then its a very very very long stick. i would rather sit for exams in canada and if i have the determination i will pass,no doubt. but i was talking abt EE for doctors who do not have a job offer. You have to pass at least MCCEE and MCCQE 1 to get a job in canada. MCCEE you can pass from prometric exam centres around the world but MCCQE 1 is held only in canada. MY friend passed it and he is doing residency training in canada.

Only in Alberta and some northern provinces they offer residency programs for foreign doctors......only when you are a specialist doctor with your superspeciality degree certificate and experience recognized and evaluated by MCC and you passed MCCEE. for GPs you must have language proficiency, MCCEE pass and PR card to be enrolled in the program. Currently they are enrolling for january,2016. seats are limited.

whatever it is i want to go to Canada....and i will not change my profession cause i love my work.........and i will succeed whatever comes around....if its needed to take the hard way i will take it.....i know what i want.

you r welcome my dear shahimran1, guys believe me the best and easiest way to work there at least in health domain is these programs, believe me guys ,it is right that i am preparing for MCCEE now but it is very very hard ,by the way if someone pass USMLE step 2 ck ,it equalivate to MCCEE,(just MCCEE) and i am sure 100% about this information.According where u can pass MCCEE examen ,there r centers abroad canada to pass this exam,i already registered for it in Turkey coz it is close to me and in Turkey has 3 centers or more .guys the route to work as doctor there is very long ,that's why i suggest you to do these programs and at the same time pass time to get your citizinship, this is the best solution ,by the way ,when u pass on of these program of sonography,u can also apply for examen in USA calls ARDMS,if u pass it,u will be registered as sonographer and can work in all USA and ur salary is very good,i was searching about that a lot,i have many many contacts from there,i am gonna put link of this exam also and put another link institute which teach these programs in french (Quebec,it is for people who just speak french) i contacted this institute also since a long time and they were very helpful also,at the end guys ,you need canadian certificate to work there,so these programs gives u that, hope i clarified everything

Shahidbhai --> Not true again . My degrees will be eventually recognized if i pass MCCEE InshaAllah , infact I already practise here though under supervision. Secondly please see the link .
If you already have specialty from an unacceptable jurisdiction its better to apply for fellowships in Canada and then take up direct superspecialty Canadian Exams through SEAP pathway . No need to go through the Residency hell again . Hope this answers your question to all specialists & superspecialists here .
Hope this helps some people

you r right,no need to go through hell residency and confuse urself of these exams but i would like to give u an example: doctors who apply in 2014 for fellowship in radiology, they will informed if accepted or not in 2017(3 years waiting plus many compititions and limited seats),doctor who apply for fellowship now in 2015 they take post in 2018,i know that very well coz i contacted many universities and hospitals and the important question is : what will i do within 3 years while waiting get this fellowship??spend money without any job while sit at home and preparing for MCCEE!! i have also many friends doctors in canada, your degree will be only evaluated if u pass MCCEE but u can not get residency, you can not work as specialist, you can work just under supervision as u do now ,i have one friend like you,he is from lebanon,he passed MCCEE sucessfully,he could not get residency coz he could not passed last examen,he did one from these programs which i mentioned above,he told me literally: ust do this program and get canadian certificate to work at least in health domain, otherwise it is waste of the time about all these routes and examenations, when u get your citizinship, everything will be ok,hope i clarified everything.
