Good to hear from you, Ali. Be patient. All other factors being OK, you should receive the news of your DD being cashed shortly (DD encashment always lags behind CC charging by about a week). One thing is for sure, our NOC will not get capped this time.

Thanks.

Yup it will not cap this year.

any news for civil engineers visa??

Hi Guys,
I am a civil/structural engineer. I have been following the forum and thought it appropriate to break the silence too. My application was sent 24th Dec and received 30th Dec.
Pray and trust God that we all make cap limit.

Welcome to the forum. Don't worry about the NOC 2131 cap. It'll never get filled this year. All the best.

Folks,

Would appreciate if you all could share a few more details about yourselves like:
1. Age
2. employed/ self employed
3. duties performed in the line of work
4. Timelines
5. VO
6. whether interviewed or not by VO. If yes, please share interview experience
7. What proof of experience was provided? Was it sufficient
8. Self-assessed points

Below are my details:

1. I am 36 years old.
2.Self employed structural consultant as well as civil contractor. Our company has also promoted a few projects in Bangalore.
3. As a structural consultant, I have been involved in analysis and design of a number of RCC and steel structures for various purposes like residential, commercial, resort, industrial etc. I have also conducted a few peer reviews of designs provided by other structural engineers. As a contractor and developer, our company has constructed numerous buildings in and around Bangalore, both in RCC as well as steel.
4. Application received date: 12th December 2014
Credit card charged on : 5th February 2015
PER and further processing awaited
5. New Delhi visa office
6. Interview awaited. Hoping it will be waived.
7. I had provided copy of a fixed deposit created about 15 days before I sent the application.
8. My self assessed points are 74.

I would also appreciate if you all could share any information gained/ research done about getting our licencing done by the provincial organizations like APEGGA, if and when we get to Canada. As far as I could gather, you can count 3 years of experience gained in your countries towards the requisite 4 years experience for getting the P.Eng licence. However that work has to have been performed under the supervision of a senior engineer (or a P.Eng). How it works in a country like India, where engineering is not a regulated profession, I don't quite know. Any insights would go a long way to helping the rest of us.

Hi Rahul,

I am a 43-year old French civil engineer with 18 years of experience in France. In this country, engineering is not a regulated profession. The "engineer" title is given by a diploma.
I succeeded being recognized by the Quebecian association of engineers (ordre des ingenieurs du Quebec = OIQ). I had to prove my diploma, my experiences (with references of my differents employers...). It lasted several months. Now, I am a "junior" engineer. I need to be supervised by a P.Eng. during several years (2 or 3 I don't remember) to become engineer.
I would like to emigrate in Ontario, where rules are different from Quebec province. I should do again my request.
(app.received on 12/31/2014, CC not charged yet).

Hi Lebeau,

Good to hear from you.
Did you get your diploma recognized by OIQ while in France itself, or did you work in Quebec for a while? What was the procedure involved in getting your education and experience recognized? Did you have to take any exams?

Thanks in advance.

Regards,
Rahul.

Hi Rahul,

My status of engineer was recognized by the OIQ when I was in France. I sent in Montreal a lot a files and a committee studied my appliance. The first time, it decided that it had not proofs enough for me to obtain the Jr Eng. status. Hence, I had to send proofs (recommendations for example). The examination is not free. I think that you can obtain information on web site of the Engineer Association (one association per province !).
Give every detail demanded, send them, pay, and be patient. You can do all that abroad (in your own country).
Sometimes, you are asked to pass exams (in the province you want to immigrate).
Good Luck.

Hey Aliakbar. you aren't charged yet? Did you check with your DD issuing bank often? Or try calling CIC and ask for application status, finally ask for UCI, you might get it.. :)
