Hi George, I am 1123 Dec 31 applicant. I called CIC yesterday and the lady I got on the phone took all my personal details. Although I am shocked that my current address indicates my UK address whereas I moved out of the UK as at the time of my submission. In my own case the lady gave me my UCI number even though I didn't ask for it. I asked about CC payment and her reply was that It will be be debited at some point but she wasn't specific. She advised that I should look out for update about 11th March. After the phone call I tried logging in on the Ecas portal but no info came up. I then called back again and got this lady named N....... she collected my email address after explanation and few minutes later sent me an email with instructions on how to access ECAS portal. she also mentioned before hand that I won't be able to see any info about my profile at this point. ( My thought is they can see your details from their end but I can't see it from my end any time I log). Do you know anyone with similar experience? please let me know
Most of the post on this site makes me panic especially for those who submitted before me and got their application sent back because of cap and other reasons. I can't do much than to pray and hope it works in my favor as this is my last bus stop for now !!
Regards
N

Yes you are right that you cannot see the whole GUI interface of the software that they are using. This software automatically captures your information when the barcode page of your application is scanned through it's bar code scanner and immediately the UCI number is generated. UCI number is actually equivalent of Primary Key in Relational Database Management System(RDBMS). Therefore, although it is confirmed that they have opened your application parcel, but no display on the screen means that your application parcel is under going " Completeness Check" and when "Completeness Check" will be positive, the person who is reviewing your file will see the CAP whether it is reached or not, if CAP for your NOC is still not reached he will then charge your CC. After charging your CC, you will be able to see in your ECAS,following message "We received your application on 31st December 2014". This will be the only message that you will in your ECAS. And this message means that your file has been sent for elgibility review, which means for calculation of points. When your appllication is awarded points 67 or above then your ECAS will display "In Process", because your file has been sent after initial approval to "Correspondence Department" and that correspondence department, composes the PER emails. And after few days of this message of "In Process" you will recieve PER.

Congrat, you can call CIC to get your UCI number

Another good news to share.

Just now called the CIC and one nice lady she picked up the phone and after asking only my surname and date of birth and given name, she immediately provided me my UCI number and told me that it is confidential information therefore keep it safe for future checking of your application's online status. Was impressed with such a polite attitude of the a call centre attendent.

Anyhow just opened the ECAS and trying to login but getting the message that we couldn't find any record and try to verify that information you provided is corret.

Will call again to call centre agent and after providing my UCI number i shall ask my application status.

Although the call centre agent told me that your ECAS status is showing "In Process" and shortly you will be contacted by CIC. But I am unable to login in my ECAS? What could be the reason. Maybe they have gotton confused with Surname/Given Name etc? OR What?

I called to CIC multiple times...and finally I got the response...but the lady said she is not able to see my details in the system...hence I dont know what exactly does it mean...my application was rec on 31st dec...hence bit worried now

It simply means that your application parcel is yet to be opened by CIC staff. They still did not open your application parcel. So, just wait few more days i think that your application package will be opened within maximum by end of next week or earlier and after that the person opening your application parcel will scan your barcode page and thus you will be given UCI.

I also contacted CIC and got the "In Process" reply yesterday. Today I called them again and this amazingly polite lady provided me all the information. She said that my file is under scanning. She herself provided me the UCI number but cleared beforehand that it will not be active yet. I think you have not been charged. That is why is you cannot login. My ECAS is also not active and I am a 29 Dec applicant.

Thanks for congratulations. Address of LVO is mentioned below:-

Canada House,
Trafalgar Square,
London
SW1Y 5BJ
Tel: +44 207 004 6000

But what would you like to send to them? Did you already receive AOR? OR any correspondence from LVO? Because prior to that sending anything will unnecessarily confuse the situation and delay the process. If you have not missed anything that is mandatory, don't disturb LVO, let them process your case and wait for good news from their side. If nothing is requested and being a lucky person, you might get directly MR. Therefore i shall not advise you to send anything untill and unless you receive first correspondence from LVO.

Thanks George,

It's LVO practice to ask the background form from age of 18 and above and not only for last 10 years. Today I come to know from cic that my application received by LVO on 13-02-2015. As per many forum members LVO not sending AOR. So was thinking to send revise background forms.

It happened with me also. I mentioned my name as used in Kuwait. 1st name + 2nd name as first name and 3rd name +4th name as family name. When tried to use family name (3rd + 4th) it shows unable to identify. Just by chance I used 2nd name and it worked.

My advise will be do not send even though they requested several candidates this information but send this info only if they request. Because sending something to them which was not required as per application requirement will simply delay your MR. But if you forgot to mention something which was initially required in application then you should send it as a corrective action of your mistake. Regarding your history from age of 18-, it was not required initially. Keep it ready and if they ask you send them otherwise no need to disturb the smooth process of reaching to MR stage.

That is what i doubted but i think that still ECAS is not logging in for my case. Again contacted the call centre and a male attendent told me that may be you have problem with browser but the status of your application is "In Process" and you will be contacted shortly by CIC.
Message that I see whenever i try to login is
"We were not able to identify you using the information you provided."

I am scared to even ask for the UCI Number.

Desperately waiting for the Positive Eligibility Review, on email.
