victoryahead said:Hi George, I am 1123 Dec 31 applicant. I called CIC yesterday and the lady I got on the phone took all my personal details. Although I am shocked that my current address indicates my UK address whereas I moved out of the UK as at the time of my submission. In my own case the lady gave me my UCI number even though I didn't ask for it. I asked about CC payment and her reply was that It will be be debited at some point but she wasn't specific. She advised that I should look out for update about 11th March. After the phone call I tried logging in on the Ecas portal but no info came up. I then called back again and got this lady named N....... she collected my email address after explanation and few minutes later sent me an email with instructions on how to access ECAS portal. she also mentioned before hand that I won't be able to see any info about my profile at this point. ( My thought is they can see your details from their end but I can't see it from my end any time I log). Do you know anyone with similar experience? please let me know
Most of the post on this site makes me panic especially for those who submitted before me and got their application sent back because of cap and other reasons. I can't do much than to pray and hope it works in my favor as this is my last bus stop for now !!
Regards
N
Yes you are right that you cannot see the whole GUI interface of the software that they are using. This software automatically captures your information when the barcode page of your application is scanned through it's bar code scanner and immediately the UCI number is generated. UCI number is actually equivalent of Primary Key in Relational Database Management System(RDBMS). Therefore, although it is confirmed that they have opened your application parcel, but no display on the screen means that your application parcel is under going " Completeness Check" and when "Completeness Check" will be positive, the person who is reviewing your file will see the CAP whether it is reached or not, if CAP for your NOC is still not reached he will then charge your CC. After charging your CC, you will be able to see in your ECAS,following message "We received your application on 31st December 2014". This will be the only message that you will in your ECAS. And this message means that your file has been sent for elgibility review, which means for calculation of points. When your appllication is awarded points 67 or above then your ECAS will display "In Process", because your file has been sent after initial approval to "Correspondence Department" and that correspondence department, composes the PER emails. And after few days of this message of "In Process" you will recieve PER.
