No Ties in Canada / Tax Situation

Hi all,

I am temporarily going to move out of Canada for almost a year and a half and I was wondering, what kind of situations are
considered as "having ties in Canada".

I'm not a PR yet, but I'm expecting a final decision by the end of this year.

Am I supposed to pay any taxes while I'm gone, even though there will be no ties such as family, work, bank-accounts or possessions etc.

Any response will be appreciated.

Thanks

If you have no accounts in Canada including investment, no property, no fsmily members (spouse or dependent children), no job, etc. you are very unlikely to be a tax resident. You can a
ways check with CRA.
