No Study Permit Issued at the time of Arrival in Canada

Hi There,

I didn't get the study permit during my landing at toronto airport on 2nd nov,2021. Immigration person said servers are down so we will send the study permit at your home. It's been almost 18 days I didn't receive the permit. Kindly suggest me what to do? because am unable to open my GIC account and get the SIN number without study permit...please help

They mailed on the same date but i didnt received at my home address.

Canadian mail can be very slow. Call IRCC and ask to re-mail or for other options (pick up at airport or land border).

They said they can take action after 8 weeks, not before that.

Did you ask about going to a land border or back to the airport? If not, you may want to call again and ask.

Hi, I arrived at Vancouver Airport and the immigration officer mentioned that their servers are not working at the moment. They asked to give the address and they will be mailing the study permit in next couple of days. But it has been almost a week now and I start classes on Monday and I still don't have my study permit. Can some one please advise what should I do?
I'm going to the airport tomorrow what should I say? Will they understand?

Talk yo your school, call them or go to a border crossings.

I called IRCC they says already dispatched on 10th May, enquired in Canada Post as well, they too didn't received. Now it's been 3 weeks and am unable to access any of the service here.

Please guide on this situation, what to do next??

Ask if it can be dispatched again by whoever sent it (IRCC or CBSA)

they says to wait for 6 weeks from the date of dispatch. Unlikely my class started already, but still to access some other services i need study permit. Will i receive again if i visit YVR airport and meet CBSA officer

You could try but you may not be able to access CBSA if you are not flying into the airport. Certainly worth a shot if you can get to the airport.
