No passport request?

I never got a passport request? It's telling me to go to the Canadian border to talk to a border agent. I'm kind of clueless as to what to do. Will I become a PR and receive a PR card at the border?

I see your application was at Ottawa. If you're an American citizen, we don't get passport requests. You don't need a Visa to enter Canada so they don't need your passport to put one in.
Once you get your COPR in the mail, you're good to go.

You will receive a PR card in a couple months time. I'm not sure what the processing times are now. They'll confirm your address at the border and that's where they'll send your card.
