No last name/surname in passport - how to fill application

Hello, Could any one advise on how to fill in the online application if there is no surname or last name in the passport? Last name is a mandatory field in the application

It would help to have a family name/ surname in the passport for a clear, distinct identity.... especially for visas, immigration, etc.

For your current situation, enter the entire given name in the family name field. Leave the given name field as blank

Not sure if it helps but I saw in the US some people use 'FNU' for an unknown family name. Maybe Canada has a similar provision?

1, No, IRCC's instructions are to leave the given name field blank.
