No Indian PCC even after 8 weeks

Hi ALL,

I had very tiring day today, I went to consulate general of india toronto, and was in line at 9 o clock, officer came by 12:30pm. People were dying by standing in line. then My turn came and I show him my ticket to go india, He said come by 3:30. then I waited over there and finally with lots of efforts I got my PCC in a day. It was 8 weeks now that I have been waiting for.

Guys, Just an update, I talked to one of officer that why its so late , he said we are having shortage of staff and will be sending soon. how soon ? he was silent about it. So if you are still waiting for it then pelase go directly and get it from them.. Good Luck

good for you!..so they are running short handed thats new to me. but yes again meeting the actual officer can be very helpful

Even I was at CGI waiting from 9 AM and got my PCC at 3.30PM.
One frustrated guy was moving around and asking for updates. I guess it was you... in Green T shirt..

Do CIC accept DOB issued by consulate office? I got my PCC within 20 days in April 2012. But I will be applying for PR now due to some other issues. Can I use that same PCC now? It is more than six month old but I didn't go my Country since last two years.

you'll need to get a new PCC.

CS2012, it is taking a lot of time if you apply for PCC with VFS. So try to apply for both PCC & DOB with CGI directly and let us know your experience as well.

Got my PCC today (applied on 23 Oct at VFS Brampton).
One of my friends who applied on 10 Nov at VFS Brampton, got the PCC today directly from CGI on approaching them with his travel itinerary.

I got my PCC in just 4 days from High Commision of India Ottawa. I applied through VFS office in Ottawa.
Not sure why it takes such a long time for some people.

I am getting the below status online for my PCC application

Any idea how long will it take according to this status?

Hi All,

Please suggest me on below. I need to apply for lndian PCC. Have 2 doubts mentioned below.

1) Shall I go to VFS Brampton or CGI Toronto in Bloor Street to give application in person ? Which one will provide us PCC soon?

2) I lived in 8 addresses of 3 states in total in India since I reached age of 18 till date. Shall I mention all 8 addresses or just one address where I lived for 2.5 years in last 10 years ?

Note:
1) In last 10 years I lived in India for 2.5 years, 6 years in USA and now in Canada since 2.5 years. I applied for FBI PCC last werk for USA stay.

2) My understanding is that we no need submit Canada PCC to apply for Canada PR. If needed Canada Immigration itself get it from database. Correct me if I am wrong.
