No Indian PCC even after 8 weeks

Thnks for ur reply.Actually i dont have PCC with me and i ahvent applied for it yet but after reading this section of delayed PCC i got little bit scared.So, what do you say????Should i apply for it and send it and my visa office is new delhi and i dont even know their address.I mean is their any common address or seperate adress for cec applicants?

@ Rajanna, any update on your PCC? you might have received till now. I have not yet received it. Its 8th week going on.... I am not sure why are they taking so much time. I sent an email to the CGI Toronto last week but no response. VFS guys are useless, just informing that its "in process". I see this status myself every day through internet.

I need to plan my India trip and I am not able to book my tickets since my Passport is stuck with them along with my PCC application.

Pls update your status if you have received it or not.

Also, would appreciate if someone can suggest what shall I do apart from waiting. (Note: For my other coutries PCCs, almost 2 months are passed already and coz of India PCC, I am not able to submit my application).

Even I applied for PCC before 3 months. Almost I was waiting for 5 weeks but it was of vain. I stayed in almost 4 different places in India that too in different states. After 5 weeks of my long wait I was forced to withdraw since I needed passport.

In the meantime before few weeks I got from an police official India regarding my police clearance. They told me about the duration I stayed in India and requested for a passport copy. I emailed everything to him.

Now again I have applied for PCC and just keeping my fingers crossed.

Friends ...Any inputs to speed up the process ??? Please let me know.

Myself and my spouse have applied PCC on May12 in VFS Scarborough, i got the PCC but didnt get my wife's PCC till date, we are planning to visit India in Oct by withdrawing application, my question is whether the CIC will accept PCC if i get it from India when i go for vacation. Or should i submit the application to CIC with just my PCC and giving explanation regarding my wife's PCC??

Hi Friends,

I got my Indian PCC in the 9th Week, but received my wife's PCC with in a week. Couple of my friends who applied for both Birth certificate and PCC together from Indian Consulate received within 2 weeks.

So I would suggest for future applicants, if you want to receive the PCC faster, apply for both Birth Certificate and PCC together from Indian consulate eventhough you already have a birth certificate. The amount($40 including $20 fees for VFS) you pay for only PCC through VFS is the same amount that you pay for both(PCC & Birth Certificate each $20) through Indian consulate. Hope this helps for people who are planning to apply for PCC in the future and wish to receive it quickly.

One more suggestion for people who are applying for only PCC through VFS. Photographs are not required and the VFS agents won't accept the photos, so don't waste your 10 bucks unnceccasarily.

Ha ha ha, Funny, VFS guys ask for 3 photos(even though we have indian passport).
We have to return back to vfs for resubmission.
Still no pcc :'(

On the other hand my friend also applied for 2 times. First time he got his PCC after 1.5 months(he applied with me, same day). His application got refused and now he has applied again along with his birth certificate and this is his 4th week going and still no news on PCC or Birth Certificate.

I've no idea how vfs office works. When we asked them about my friends PCC. This was his reply " You lived at two places, so we have to take the clearance from both places ", which was quite strange, cuz i lived at 3 different places after crossing 18 years, but i got it in 10 days.

Hi Minta, I guess you are pretty lucky to receive so quickly By seeing all the posts on this subject, It means that it depends on our luck whether we receive the PCC quicker or not ;D

I have got canadian clearance - fingerprinting RCMP is done
I have to submit my PR appliocation.
Please let me know whether I can submit the PR application without Indian PCC.....

Once I get Indian PCC (maybe after a month or two....donno how long this PCC process will take...god only knows) can I send it to visa officer?
