Hi! im a bit worried about my application. My previous employer didn't detail the main duties and responsibilities in my letter of reference as a cook. Whats your experience or opinion about this? However, i submitted all important docs like pay stubs, contract, and the like.

Duties in your reference letter is one of the requirements set by the document checklist.
Whenever you can't meet those, chances are your application will be rejected. However,
it's up to the VO assessing your application to accept the supporting documents you submitted as
proof for employment or not.
In case you get your AOR, all you can do is wait for someone to assess it. Order GCMS notes
every now and then to see what's happening with your file.
And if you get an updated letter from your employer, email it to CIC ASAP ( you will need AOR to
do so ).
