I did my schedule A form again and submit it month ago ig. And then they asked me to pay for biometric and then they send me the message for pre arrival, and to give biometric and there's few mistakes in my dob so they asked me for that letter as well. Does that mean the background check?

I don't think so. Try linking your application on cgkey so you know what is left for you https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/services/application/account.html

When inputting the number of the applicant, please count the sponsor as well eg. 1 applicant + 1 sponsor = add "2"
