Good day All,

My friend just received the PPR mail and was given 15 days to send the passport. Meanwhile his passport n the wife's own were stolen some weeks back. They have done an affidavit and commenced the process of getting another one from Abuja I.e the application for new ones have been made. With the public holidays, there has been a delay on the date for capture. Now what should he do? Kindly note that he has not notified Accra of the lost passports as he was waiting for the new ones before doing so.

Now (1) the ppr mail is here (2) knowing the Nigeria system, one isn't sure if the passports would be out before the end of the PPR 15 days (3) d passport number most likely would change...

What should he do?

Please advise.

I still feel that your friend should stick to the initial plan - Get the new passports and inform Accra afterwards. Passports can be obtained in 2 - 3 days, if your friend is ready to pay the premium price. In this case, I think s/he should. After getting the passports, s/he can send the new passports, copies of the old/stolen ones, court affidavit on the stolen passports with cover note explaining everything.
Just my thought.

This is in reference to your application for permanent residence in Canada.

Subsection 16(1) of the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act states that a person who makes an application must answer truthfully all questions put to them for the purpose of the examination and must produce a visa and all relevant evidence and documents that the officer reasonably requires. In order for us to continue the processing of your application, we require the following:


· Updated Schedule A: A separate and newly completed Schedule A Background Declaration form (IMM 5669) bearing an original signature updated for all family members over 18 years.

· Updated Police Certificate: From each country/state where the residence period has been six months or longer since the age of 18, provide an original police clearance certificate.

· Complete or provide proof of completion of the Immigration medical examination for yourself, and all family members. The information for this will follow by email shortly.

· National Population Birth Certificates for all three children.

· Immunization records for all three children

· Family photographs showing You and Your Spouse with Your three children

· WAEC for Your spouse.

· Photocopies of Passport information pages for two youngest children

You have 60 days from the date of this letter to submit additional information so that we may continue processing your application. Please note this will be the ONLY opportunity we will provide for you to submit additional evidence. Your application will be assessed in 60 days and the final decision will be based on the evidence on file at that time. If you choose not to respond with additional information I will make my decision based on the information before me, which may result in the refusal of your application.


Please note that submission in person will not be accepted.

I contacted my VO - Accra, regarding addition to my family as earlier advised and was given plenty things to be added. Payment of $150USD included (Please how do I make this payment?)

Can I make use of my local master card - GTbank or DD ? please advice. I really dont want them having difficulties in charging my CC.
