for those who are going to apply for pcc from the uk, my advise will be to pay for courier delivery for return. it will save you the wait m currently going through. i applied for ppc from the uk on the 15th of sept and they dispatched it to me the following day. i can tell you i am yet to receive it till now. standard airmail should take about 7 days (according to royal mail) to get to you but as with all that we already know of about our postal system i think this may take a month. my prayer at the moment is for the post man to bring it on a day when there is no rain.
From experience, most other mails i received from the uk got to me exactly a month after they were dispatched (i didnt learn from experience at all)....

@Floxzy, by designated branch, do you mean any branch or ones own branch. Also does it matter that the account is in Naira?

@house, please does it mater that my old address appeared on the medical form that was sent to me. i didnt update CIC about my change of address. what forms do i have to send to CIC (when returning the medicals) to inform them about my change of address and a new degree.

Also i am abit confuse here. i am the only applicant but on the medical mail it says 'medical examination for all family members'. I hope they arent referring to my siblings. I got one medical form with my name on it.

which of the hospitals listed in lagos have e-medical facility? Does anyone have any idea about the fees for Q-life family clinic or Children and consultant practice?

I remember when i got the medical mail and i thought 60 days was much now it feels like a good deal.

a new POF, that the I had submitted cnt cover for fam
of 3.

Bur I had a new baby and I had sent AVO additional info for the new
baby, updates forms and additional pof for a fam of 4.

The packaged was deliverd on monday 29th of sept.
I guess AVO is yet to update my file b4 this message was sent.

Maybe you can give them few days to be sure they have received after which you can send a mail to them to confirm the receipt of the documents you sent to them.
I'm sure they will even contact you once the documents you sent to them has been used to update your file.

Many congrats to all that received updates this week, Rohan, Momobee, Shinemaster, UOG14, BA, Sanmi and Coolk. Wishing you Gods speed as you progress further.

I wanna make an small observation. I think now that applications are at AVO, PER Dates give us a better indication of when our applications will be attended to and not the date our applications arrived CIO for initial processing. I applied in November 2013 and received PER in January 2014. If i look at my situation from the Application Date point of view, i'd say i have 3 months of applications before AVO gets to me. But the PER date of the latest MR recipient is November 2013 which is actually 2 months before mine. This is just to aid planning for those of us that are still expecting communications from AVO and think we have all the time in the world.

Finally, this is for intending FSW applicants. This is an excerpt from Attorney Cohen's October briefing. He says
"The current application cycle for the Federal Skilled Worker Program (FSWP), which opened in May, 2014, will finish at the end of this year. With just three months remaining in 2014, potential candidates have a limited window of opportunity to apply for this program. Successful applicants will gain Canadian permanent residence."

This adds to the confusion of when exactly the FSW 14 will be ending so intending applicants should endeavour to send in their applications before January 2015 just to ensure they are not taken by surprise. Mr Cohen is a respected Immigration Lawyer so i really dont expect him to publicly misinform his clients/potential clients.
