In practice, you would have to wait for the HardCopies of the Medical Forms to come through the post. In cases where the forms are delayed, you would need to contact them(right about when you're hitting the 5-6weeks mark) via email or phone(and yes, you can speak to them in some exceptional cases) and they would re-issue the medical instructions and extend your time limit by another 60days.
Someone posted a link by qorax... up there, which suggests that one could do the Meds without receiving the hardcopies of the med forms sent by the visa office, i came across that also when i was in a similar situation, but that would not be allowed in Nigeria for reasons we all know. Maybe in developed parts with very minimal incidences of integrity issues. No DMP in Nigeria would go ahead and carry out an IME without the Hardcopy Meds envelope from CiC. The envelopes contain forms with pix already affixed, and the dmp is supposed to compare the pix with the applicant submitting himself/herself for IME, and also crosscheck this with the Travel passports presented at the time of IME. Its a goldmine for the DMPs in Nig, and they wouldn't risk their license by deviating from this.
In the Meds email, you get some bulletted points - asking for RPRF, and then there should be one saying something along the lines of
**Pls complete med exams as per instructions mailed to you on xxxxxxxxxxxxx. For a list of docs, consult.................**
Do you have the bulleted point similar to the above?
