My people I hail o o oooooooooooo ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D. Been awaY for a couple of days running around Scotland for my thesis. To be Prof. no easy o o. But In no long time will bag my PhD. Congrats Mogbenga and Drmoney. NIce to know that good news is still pouring in from Accra

Thanks for the tips people. Really appreciate it.

VOA - thanks for the tip on NOC 1122. Looks like I'll look for a category more related to the kind of work I've been doling. 7216 comes the closest as I've done work supervising mechanical technicians, although our work is mainly on projects and not very often on equipment, but I guess it can pass.

Any answer on whether I can do both FSW & Quebec at the same time? I know most peeps here are on FSW - will be nice to know if other naija people have tried Quebec successfully.

Congrats to you guys already at the medical stage. All the best with the final lap of your applications.

Happy New Month Good people,

I've been silent for sometime, but i've consistently followed the posts. Particularly June 30 late nite. Loolo, Naija Pikin and Jada, una no wan hear ooo, you guys were nite keepers awaiting the new list. Nothing do una. Thank God that things will move fast for us with minimal entries of 10,000.
Congrats to Ind_dan, Jada, Drmoney, moegbenga et al. To everyone, let's remain expectant it is our month of POSITIONING AND PERFECTION. My folks just arrived from Jerusalem and they said ALL PRAYERS ARE ANSWERED. SO SHALL IT BE FOR TO EVERYONE. IJN AMEN.

Welcome Mr Jones. i've sent you a PM. Just like everyone(Pas and Mas) have said, you've got to move fast oooo, cos NOC 1122 may get filled even this July. @ Loolohave you sent your application?

Shalom

Hi you said you qualified for Quebec but you dont speak french i dont understand. I thought ability to speak French is a major qualification for the Quebec stream? also i would advise you dont even bother with 1122 since your documents are not even ready yet. If you qualify for any other category then go for it quickly because 500 slot would be easily filled.
You asked about consultants i can tell you that consultants on this thread and the general thread are better than the one you will pay for. When you get to the general thread you can ask any question and you will find answers just as we are doing here.

Please when its time to fill your form, study the duties very well in your chosen NOC and be sure its something similar to what you have done and what you can defend but dont copy the NOC duties verbatim into your form oh. You can pm Spokes, Naija Pikin Loolo at least these ones and some others are post June and still remember the rules very well.

If you have further questions please post freely and the good people here will kindly help out. If you are in lagos or environ then try and attend the meeting of 16th July at Etiebet place there you meet with fellow applicant and share ideas. I hope you are already working on your Police Clearance, Transcript and there is money in your account equal to the required figure.

All the best.
Tinu

@ DyDx thanks, I got your PM - apparently I cannot send PMs yet. Unfortunately, I cannot make it to Lagos before August anyway. This is due to the nature of my job and my current remote location.

@ tinu Thanks for the tips on the NOC. I've now decided I'll use 7216 or 8222, although neither fully describes my work experience as a mechanical maintenance/project engineer in the oil & gas industry. 8222 is geared more towards production operations workers, while 7216 is geared more towards other industries rather than oil & gas. Also, both are for skills not requiring a degree, while I obviously have a degree (so most aligned for me is 2132, which is not on the list).

As for Quebec, I did the self evaluation test on their website and I got a result that I could start the application, even with my very limited French (I can always brush up on that though). I guess I'll just submit applications to both and see how it goes, although going the Quebec route means I have to settle in Quebec, while my main target is the oil & gas hub of Alberta.

I have my transcripts already, but need to start working on the other docs.

I wish I could make the 16th July meeting (I saw that when ready through the previous posts) - unfortunately I'll be neck deep in work then.

I have my transcripts already, but I'm yet to get the other docs so I need to move fast as you suggested.

Guys, please share your thoughts about MI 1 (Feb 2008-June 2010) applicants.

Ha haaaaa you sounded like a toddler that bothers himself with fuel subsidy. Allow the CIO to enter your details into the system first before talking of waiting game. There are Men and women in the house who submitted their app. far back as 2007.
All am saying simply put is that congrat for submission, just wait and see how events plays itself out.
