Dear colleagues
I am worried and help me out. I have applied for the Canada immigration under federal skilled catagory three years back for my family which include my wife and two sons aged 4 and 7 years. Now the status of the case file is at the medical examination. During the process we adpted a baby girl which is now 8 years old but i did not inform the immigration office regarding the issue. Please help me what should i do now to avoid the split up of my family as my case is going to finalize now and at what step i write to the immigration authorit about the adoptation.

A. It's nothing to worry about, when you PPR is sent to you, fill another additional family form and include the name of the girl in the form with a cover letter, In that case she will not go with you now but you can sponsor her later.

B.Alternatively, If you want to go with the girl now, write the embassy now and inform them, to send medical form of the girl to you which means you will fill another application form to increase the number included in your application, more proof of funds needed ( that is if the amount submitted before did not cover what's required for recent family nos.), pay 150 for processing fees, provide details of the girl and document supporting the adoption.

Honestly in I am in you position. I will for option A above

Please settle your application first, then, file for her later. Otherwise, I am not sure you will be able to fight the battle. And to make the matter interesting the application is originating from Nigeria. If you know what that means?


Just make sure you have a watertight case. After you must have been settled then you can shoot for her too.

passport requested for visa 2nd oct 2012

my hubby flew to accra on saturday to pick up the visa today
he just called me to tell me that today is a public holiday in ghana and he booked his return flight for Wednesday.
we are so confused, though someone asked him to try tomorrow but in the mail sent to us, they will only issue visas on mondays.

anyone pls i need advice

@Priceless. We have said it repeatedly on this forum that the use of a lawyer does not affect the visa processing process of Visa offices and I feel people should learn that these people are Canadians not Nigerians!!! Hence no backyard business at the VOs.

@Kayb accept our condolences may God keep us to attain 74 and much more I tell you its celebration of life!!!
