How do you sign up to get emails from ECAS? Since seeing the update on the site i literally chk it 4 times a day,lol in hoping that its not a glitch or something. Its making me go nuts!

It was Ladyposh, Sanchester, Jahlove and myself that got that same ECAS email at the end of March. I hope it means they are all up in our file ladies!! We are trying to followin in your footsteps girl! Jaruby.. i think the concensus is ECAS update .. even if all stays the same is good news!!

What does your last name start with Posh? Now i'm on that kick. Isn't it funny the way we try to figure KNG out like all of a sudden we are gonna crack the code. LOL.

Mrs. Proper: https://ecas.carroll.org.uk/ is the link you use to set up the tracker. It somehow takes a lot of pressure off not thinking you have to check it a million times because the second that sucker changes, you get notified. At the same time, Ladyposh was saying that her ECAS status never changed.. still says RECEIVED so we have to not rely to heavily on ECAS.

LOL, random guy, not.
Right now, over 900 people trust that site - a great free service IMO.
Saves a lot of hassle.

I have no issue with your personal choice (security should be more of a concern for everyone).
It is not as if he hides who he is. You could get to know him if you wanted to, on this forum (and many others) Matthewc

I am glad that we all have the option to make our own choices.

u r right mrs. u r free to make ur choice bcaz its ur own info ror real, i use it though it helps to ease rthe ecas addict, and it gives assurance wen it sends u that email even if its no change at least u know they r looking at it.

Hey everyone......

Back home in Jamaica...and just feeling wonderful knowing that application is mailed off and all the fee's paid upfront...every last one. So hopefully that gets rid of some delays. I am pretty proud of myself right now hehe...I did the whole application on my own...and its one of the neatest most organized packages you will ever see. At the beginning I didn't think I was capable of doing the whole thing on my own...so its such a great feeling to be done and to have acomplished it.

The only thing I'm worried about is I didn't send in the Option C notice of assessment as I didn't have it yet. Had just filed several years of taxes....bad me I know. So I sent in all the HR Block receipts and all that proving I did my taxes and they were submitted and all that. So hopefully they accept that.

But now Im wondering...what next??? Now that its sent in..what do I expect???

I need to look through the last few pages and see if anyones gotten some good news since I was last on!! Hoping its a yes on that one.

SmoothiesQueen....Congrats on sending your package and thanks also its truely a blessing to know that hubby is coming home soon... He is picking up his passport today and we are booking the flight in a few hours... (it may not be until june) but doesnt matter cause its a small price to pay to be able to spend the rest of my life with hubby here in canada..

Now you should be expecting the first part of your application (assessment of sponsor) to be processed in Mississauga if I look at the time lines online I am seeing 41 days for processing... They are currently working on files that they received March 11, 2011. So this is where you will find out if you are eligible to sponsor your husband.

After this if you are found eligible to sponsor him, your application would be sent to Jamaica and this processing time for this process is 16 months. Within the first 90 days of receipt of your application Kingston should you send an acknowledgement letter (Just a little heads up that this does not always happen and if it does it's not always before the 90 days). They also review the application quickly and check for any missing documents and you will be notified by a letter if they need any other documents usually around the same time as you receive the AOR. Then after that... the long wait begins and lets hope you dont have to wait so long cause trust me not knowing what happen can be real frustrating even if you are with your husband... Once they are ready they will either call him in for an interview or they will waive the interview and call him for passport request... They usually advise you approximately 2 months ahead of time before an interview so you have time to prepare if an interview is needed.

SmoothiesQueen: Glad to hear your reached back safe and sound and congrats on getting that file sent off. It's a bitter sweet feeling . The file is done and your part is essentially over but then there is also that feeling of losing complete control as it is now out of your hands.

lonely_wife: We will all be excited to hear that he has that passport in hand and you can book that flight!! He is still undecided about the wedding huh? He must be feeling really torn! I know the prices are high now because of Easter. When do they start to go back down? If it is close to the end of May maybe it will make sense for him to just wait it out. I'm sure thinking about spending more time apart though is not what he wanted to do. I can just see the back and forth that must be going on your heads!! ??? Whatever the decision, it's nice to know that the decision now belongs to YOU... not immigration so YAY!

Permanent Residence
We received XXXXXX XXXXXXXXX'S application for permanent Residence on September 3, 2010.

We started processing XXXXXXX XXXXXX application on April 11, 2011.

Medical results have been received.
