Quick qestion, i chkd the ecas site this morning and this is what it said

We received " "'s application for permanent residence on January 10, 2011.

We started processing " "'s application on April 8, 2011.


ok im freaking out, anyone have any idea what this means....does it mean we could hear something soon??

Wow!! thats good, i am not sure what it means but it seems like sort of an activity is going on with your file, there is movement. What the next step is i am not sure, i think it should say medical recieved afterwards, then doc request/interview, then ppr.

Its so exciing to see something new posted on there, i just wish i new what it meant, or what to expect now. Im praying everything is smooth and there will be no interview needed and just a phone call for his passport! Wow my day jus got a whole lot better!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hi everyone, I got a call this morning to attend an interview in Jamaica on May 25. They said that i should bring my passport and proof that i live with my husband.

I am so nervous now.

Congrats iambless, are you not living in Jamaica? Don't worry about the interview you will be fine. Just collect whatever proof you have so you can be prepared.

Yes Mrs Proper, we are all hoping for them to skip the interview part too.

iambless Congratulations! I don't think you have anything to worry about. You have more than a month to prepare. It will be fine! As you don't live in Jamaica and have to come for the interview, i'm sure they will process your paperwork right away so you can go back a PR

Thanks everyone for the support. Another thing i would like to know, like how they just asked for proof of us living together I should I just bring that. What other proof can i bring to show that we live together. Should i bring a copy of the lease agreement because i had submitted it before.

Iambless.. you can bring a copy of the lease agreement, rent receipts with both names... you can also ask friends and family to write letters stating that you are leaving there.. also if you have received anything such as bills with either your name on it or both names and the adress i think that would be good...

anyone else have other ideas??

Lilmaya: You missed me huh ;D, didnt get much chance to come on over the past couple days and was just watching the diet/pilates/zumba talk. Dont know why you ladies including a certain someone always trying to fix whats not broken or what we already think is perfect. BTW, it says its process not progress if that makes a difference.
