Have you received your COPR? Your PR card will be mailed to you after you’ve received your eCOPR. Also, you can walk into any Service Canada office to change your SIN.

You said "permanent residency granted" it's because of that we are asking you if you already received your COPR. After receiving the positive decision letter you have to apply for PR only after receiving COPR, Confirmation of permanent residency ,you should be able to apply for a new sin number and receive your card .

If your country of origin needs a visa to go to the US or transit there you sure need one. Yes you can travel with your RTD , it's like a passport.

with this rtd(passport) can i transit through usa or i ll need to get visa first? this is my confusion at the moment
sorry if i am asking so many questions again n again
ur help is highly appreciated sir

Congratulations of the approval of your refugee case. In order to get your PR card, you must apply for permanent residency ( I’m sure you have done that).

Yes. You can travel to Sri Lanka provided it’s not your country of origin. I suggest that you call the embassy to verify if a RTD is acceptable and also if a visa is required on your RTD

once you are granted PR (which will take around 2 years). Your lawyer only applied for you to get permanent residence after receiving NOD. He can’t apply for a SIN#. If you are from Sri Lanka you can not travel there without risking your status in Canada until you get Canadian citizenship so around 5 years from now. If can not use your home country passport or renew it. You can not travel to all counties with an RTD but for the counties that allow travel on RTDs you May or may not need a visa. For example to enter the US you would need a visa.

You are confusing or your questions lacks credibility

In 2014 you wrote you are Permanent Resident since 2009, and in 2016 you wrote you are CANADIAN CITIZEN. This week you received Notice of Decision and your lawyer applied for PR... Which is which?
