oo May 16 ako nag submit sa VFS..

Hi all,

Ano po yung VFS? BTW i'm new here and would like to share our future plan and hoping i can get a good answers to all of you, last month inaaral kona yung application about spousal sponsoship sa cic.ga, prinint ko na din lahat ng guidelines and forms para mapag aralan na at unti unti magather kona mga documents. Though 2 plans ang inaasikaso ko now (1) our church wedding next year Jan 2017 and (2) the spousal sponsoship application, my fiance' is a filipino who acquired Canadian Citizenship last year, we've been for a long relationship since 2010 (on and off) and now finally we've decided to settle. To make it short (sorry ah ehehe) confused ako sa below details: (6weeks lang vacation nia this dec until jan 2017)

1. After wedding, need ko bang magrenew ng lahat ng docs ko? (passport, gov't ID, NBI/police clearance) Kailangan ba updated na status ko from single to married and need ko rin bang pachange of name (since mag aupdate ako ng status, isabay kona change of name ko?)

2. Related to question #1, my signature, obvious kc sa signature yung last name ko as in basang basa mo sia, need ko bang palitan just in case susundan kona yung surname nia?

3. NSO/PSA MC, kaya ba ng 4 weeks bago sia umalis? target ko kc dala na nia complete application package ko pagbalik nia sa Canada para wala na kming iniisip pa at para i mamail na lang pagdating nia dun.

4. How about ung size ng envelop? malaki po ba, kc feeling ko madami daming supporting docs namin since highschool (first meeting namin) hanggang sa kasal, honeymoon etc.

5. Do i need also to attach my diploma in college? since may question dun about education

***passport ko kakarenew ko lang last year (sept), natatakot akong magipit sa oras after wedding kung lahat need ko irenew.

I'll try answering your queries pero these are just my opinions ha

If you intend to apply using your husband's family name, I think it is better if your passport and medical information sheet will show your married name and status.

After getting married, you can change your signature or opt not to. I do not think how your signature looks like will affect your application. Just make sure that you use only one signature.

PSA copies of marriage certificates takes months to be released the first time but you can request for an advance copy. You can ask the registrar's office where you will be applying for marriage license about the procedure I am not sure but I think once you finish requesting for an advance copy, your NSO copies can be released in 2-3 weeks time.

Pero right after marriage, makaka kuha agad kayo ng LCR copy ng MC ninyo. Hindi ko lang alam if pwede ito gamitin sa pag change status ng passport.

In case hindi tanggapin ang LCR copy ang advise ko, proceed with your application. Use your married name in your application forms. Submit your existing passport even if it bears your maiden name. AFter submitting all your application to Missassauga and while waiting for your SA, you can apply for a new passport with your married name and get an NBI clearance using your married name. That way, when your application is transferred to MVO, your new passport is already ready and you can immediately inform MVO of your new passport number and name. Also, you can readily provide them with an NBI clearance bearing your married name

but my partners send every documents to Canadian immigration when we apply on December 2015 and we payed the fees already . do i still need to send the documents that the manila immigration requires to continue processing or do i need to wait for them to message me?

May na-receive na po ba kayong follow-up email from CEM after that? not sure what to do also, if is should just sit around since nasubmit ko nmn all the docs needed

Tanong lang po sa sinoman na nakapagwork before sa ibang bansa, kung meron man specifically sa Singapore, baka po makapg share kayo ng insights on how will I answer the Police Clearance app forms, kase eto po ang stand ko, sa Singapore I wasn't able to change my status na Single-> Married hanggang sa ipacancel ko na ang working visa ko dahil nagdecide nako umuwi dito po sa atin sa Pinas. sa Aor2 kase i need to submit a police cert fr SG. Pinaka tanong ko po is ok po ba na iindicate ko civil status for SG form ay Married na nga, wla po ba technicality issue un from Singapore Criminal records kung ang records ko lahat duon mapa work visa dati, mapa passport na copy ay Single pa din ung ginamit ko duon? wala kase time na makapag pa change status po ako. Actualy kinasal kame last yr pa April 2015... Sabe kase ng HR ng bank na pinagtratrabahuhan ko it doesn't matter dahil as a foreign national on working visa they understand ndi muna agad agad makapag change status lalo if hassle ng pag asikaso... hanggang nakauwi nako dito sa atin nuong 28th Apr 2016 very recent lang....

May same case po ba ko dito na SG before pinanggalingan na nakakuha na ng police clearance?

Hello po tanong po sana... panu po kayo nag request nung required Request Letter from CEM para maka-proceed sa pagkuha ng POlice Cert? by email po ba? or via the case specific inquiry? and how long it took po nung ni-send nila yung letter sayo?

Below are my personal views and opinion:

It's really up to you. In my case, I decided to keep my identifications as they are except NBI clearance as I was told the married name must be shown upon renewal. Got my passport renewed today and I also kept my maiden name. On the application though, my status showed married and provided DFA a copy of our MC from PSA and a copy of certificate from CFO.

I think whatever identification you will be sending for the application that shows your signature, just make sure that any or all forms that you will be signing matches and looks the same signature as your identifications.

MC-PSA copy may be expedited if you will personally take care of the registration right after your wedding. On the day you will go to your Local Civil Registry, ask about getting your MC for advance endorsement to PSA. Ask also about getting a SECPA (Security Paper) copy. You may not be able to have the PSA copy yet in time for your hubby-to-be to take whatever he can take when he leaves, but a SECPA copy should be good enough if you will be able to have your IMM applications completed before he goes back to CA. This assuming that you will get married on the 2nd week of his vacation. I say 2nd week because his 1st week will for sure be spent completing the requirements needed for your marriage license application. Number 1 item is the Certificate of Legal Capacity to Contract Marriage. He can only get this at the CEM and would suggest he takes care of this as soon as he arrives. Notarial services at CEM is only available from 10am to 12nn, Monday to Friday. He will be able to get this on the same day.

You'll have a better feel about the envelope that you will be needing once you have completed everything. You may also view the other thread started by one of the members here with codename Pelipeli. hi ito naman yung email sa kin noong june 1.iba iba tayo ng mga hinihingi or kung ano man.nalilito din ako kung magwe wait or ipapasa kasi nga naipasa ko na or baka may mga hindi napirmahan ng maayos.hindi naman kasi nila sinasabi yung specific na kulang or kung ano pa man.pero bakit iba iba ang hinihingi nila,hindi kaya yan talaga yung gusto nilang isend sa kanila?
