my wife needs help... my wife will be taking cathay pacific flight 912 arriving at terminal 1 at hong kong international airport and her connection flight is air canada flight 16 leaving from terminal 1 to go to toronto..

anyone who has taken this route. please give me as much detail as possible so my wife knows what to do when she arrives in hong kong so from landing to getting to the gates..my wife is so scrared that she will get lost and miss her plane and she doesn't want to do it because she is so so scared, cause other people told her they don't talk english. and they got lost ...please anyone with experience give me as much detail as u can give that will make it easy for my wife

i've been in HK airport three times most of the employees know how to speak english there are lots of customer service and staffs are willing to help incase if she needs to know where her gate is, , there is nothing to be afraid of. she will be fine

Usually upon check in she will get two boarding passes - the second one will tell her what gate to go to in HK, sometimes it wont! IF the gate number is not on her second boarding pass she will have to check the monitors when she lands in HK.

Once she exits from the plane in HK airport she will have to go through security again. Once she gets through security she will see all the gates. in every airport there are signs EVERYWHERE. tell her to check all the signs about which gate to go. If she doesnt know tell her to check the monitors in the airport they will tell her where to go! If anything, she should ask the information desk for help. There are always information desks around!

Another pointer is to check other passengers as well, check familiar faces and done be afraid to ask other passengers for help as well. She can always asks the flight attendants and wheel chair services for help as well upon leaving the plane!

I just joined this site to see if I get get some help and insight on writing a letter of invitation for my Filipino girlfriend I have how lives in Davao. I visited her this past Christmas for a few weeks there. I would like to invite her here for a maybe a few months.
I see there are paid services to write these letters. I am not sure if that is necessary. Is there examples of "good" letters to write somewhere? Things I should avoid saying? I have never been in this kind of situation before so not sure what to expect. I am hoping it is pretty straight forward. I would like to bring her here for July of this year. Any help would be appreciated.

honestly when i stop expecting to hear something its when i literally got news for my hubbys ppr that week.. you tend to get impatient when you keep expecting news

Ive been to HK airport, first time was just me alone and second time was with my younger brother. HK airport is one of the biggest intl airports. What i did and what we did..we just follow the signs when we depart from the plane. They do have english signs. So she needs to look for "connecting flights" and terminal signs. HK airport staff can understand english as well. Your wife can ask around bec there are a lot of them. She can also approach the help desk. I can still remember when we arrive there, it was like 20 terminals that we need to pass by for our next flight and we only had like 1 1/2 hr layover. Lol. I understand why she's scared to fly alone.. But she will be fine.

I totally agree. The last few months have been the most hard because we have been expecting something to happen any day. But now, I know I have to put it out of my mind.

Hi, I have name discrepancy kasi on my BC and so they'd like to see more identifications like:

• Original Baptismal Cert, Secondary Permanent School Record, Voter's ID

• AOM - one showing name on my civil doc and one with the name I have been using

• NBI - one showing name on my civil doc and one with the name I have been using

More than likely, yes wala na sila hihingin. However, the background check and verification never ends until you get your PR {few people think the vetting stops the moment the NA appears on the website, but that is not really true. They re-check and double check - even triple check applications they've already vetted.} . So if in that course they see another issue, they will let you know. But suffice it to say, for now you're good. The "major" issues have been resolved. There is only a very, very small probability they will ask for more.

Paano po i fill up yung appendix b?yung wife kopo yung principal applicant, ako po yung husband at may isang dependent..ang question kopo is dun sa appendix b?per applicant po yung pag filled up ng appendix b?sa applicant po ba na column ako or yung wife kopo?tapos yung anak ko po ba isang appendix b na form na sya lang nakalagay?salamat po ng marami sa makakasagot kse dikopo alam gagawin ko 1week nalng po para maipasa namin yung passport namin.sabi nila pag mali daw po uulit daw po sa vfs...tapos pano po yung signature ni misis sa appendix b?salamat po
