After how long we will get the biometric request letter after application submission online?

Did anyone submit the second application through GCKEY login IRCC account? If so any progress for anyone?

Can anyone tell me what to do while submitting second application to make sure biometrics get updated?

Do you give any additional documents? I just provided my UCI no from old application. It never got updated.

it got updated for us after a day.

Applied again today via New IRCC Portal

Time till now:
Application 1 : didnot withdraw
Applied thru Gckey - June 2021
Biometerics - completed Sept 8 2021
backgroud - in progress
no information since then, Application is in New delhi office.
I emailed My MP and they confirmed from IRCC that
-The criminality verifications have passed.

Application 2 :
New IRCC Portal :11 Nove 2021
Biometerics : not required. When submited application old one got picked up automatically . There was question in application is biometeric valid and do yo u want again. Did mention original UCI in starting
Currently showing in application as soon i submitted and payed
backgroud - in progress

Fingers crossed i hope parents get visa this month. I am due in January.

Good luck and praying your parents get visa soon. In either case be ready. we had same scenario in April we managed without any help for 6 months.

Did you also get biometric completion/ validation letter? I talked to an agent he said you should hv got this letter and is asking me to attach this letter in web form to get biometric updated. I never got this letter.

No, I did not. The only letter I ever got regarding biometrics was the Biometrics request letter which I received for my first GC key application. My biometrics were reflected in GC key the day I gave them and are noe reflected on the second application in IRCC portal.

I applied on the 22nd Sept for my mom and haven’t heard anything. This was my second application as the first was applied via GCkey on the 17 August 2021 and both have her old UCI updated. Her visa expired in March this year and she wasn’t able to travel due to the restrictions.

Add UCI number, say yes where it asks have u given biometrics in the past 10 years, say no to the next question where it asks if u wanna give biometrics again. Mine got updated within 13 hours of submitting the new (2nd,) application
