I'm curious, people who got their passport request, what time of the day do you get the email usually? I am desperately waiting for a visa and keep checking my inbox every 15 minutes. I applied online on April 12th and still haven't heard back.

I got @4:20 AM EST. they dont send eamil for passport request. They vl added new row in application details "Original Passport Request " with one PDF doc.

Oh really? And nothing appears in "Application messages"?

Hi i applied online for my parents on march 22 but there is no update except an email saying thanks for your patience :-[
Can i apply paper application for my mother alone separately?
Or if i send case specific enquiry ll that helps.
I m quite worried now as online applications with later dates are processed why only march applicants are in waiting list

My wife finally got her passport back with 1 year multiple entry visa

Checked it 100 times. Even from different Computers in canada. But there is no update.

I have applied a visitor visa for my both parents. My local MP emailed them regarding the progress of my file, she got a reply that application is in process. My local MP told me on 11th april that you will soon get a reply from CIC.

I got my PR through Federal skilled worker category. There is a compelling reason in the application for my parents visitor visa.

Just confused why there is no update in my online application ?

I applied my parents TRV on 11 march. Till date i got only 2-3 updation emails, but when i opened it i found nothing.

Hope cic will give relief to all of us in this week.

That's more than a month! I'm curious to know the details. Is this a tourist visa? Have your parents traveled to Canada before?

Yes its a visitor visa. This is the first time my parents are travelling to canada if visa will approved. Yes its almost 45 days.
Only thing we all can do is WAIT WAIT WAIT & WAIT.

Now the normal processing time is updated to 19 days

Parents have applied for visitors visa (paper submission visa) from VFS Ahmedabad on 12th April, 2016 when the time line wash showing as 13 days wait. Today timeline is showing as 19 days wait for processing.

Got 2 emails :
- File moved to VFS Banglore
- File moved to CIC - Dehli

Now 13 days are over today however there is no news/email about the visa and the original passports.

-Is this 19 days working days or total days?

Parents already have USA trip scheduled for 7th May 2016 - now I am worried if we will have to reschedule the USA trip since they don't have the original passports.

VFS online status says - file sent to CIC delhi on 13th April 2016.

Can i contact CIC Dehli to expedite the process or return the passport? where can i contact? email? phone?

Please guide.

Anyone has idea how can we ask help from airlines (particularly Jet Airways) to assist an old person with limited language skills. Help like transferring planes during transit, security check, finding the proper gates inside airport and so on are required.

Ask for wheel chair. They will do everything for you including immigration.

Do they provide wheel chair for everyone or only for a person with mobility issue? My dad do not have any problem with mobility.

When you book the ticket just ask for wheel chair for your dad. You don't need any medical certificate for this.
