Mycic status for background check is changed from not started to not needed at this time today. What does it signify? My eligibility review is in progress from last 4 months. Please help.

Hey Guys,

Received a bit of good news today. Two days after MP inquiry where they said that file was in queve for Eligibility review. Today I check myCIC website and it said that background check was in progress. I am not sure whether the Mp Inquiry made a difference or the documents I sent them without asking about my visit to india after filing the application made a difference. I hope that NDVO keeps the trend going and completes the rest of Jan-Mar applicants so they can focus on the rest of the year... I know it wills till be a long wait but it helps to see something move.

Finally for many March applicants are getting BG check started hope we all get ppr soon...mine has started yesterday..congratulation and hope for the best..

Depend on your spouse's location. Could be anywhere between weeks to months. But once back ground started that the last stage in most cases.

My wife is in winnipeg. ethically how long does that takes after it gets started.

hi, i have seen everyone doing mp inquiry, i was looking into doing it as well cuz my husbands medical is expiring next month and it still saying in progress since the file transferred to new delhi in july and they have not touched the file since then, how can i do the mp inquiry im from toronto.

All you need is go to your local MP, if you go to a random one, they may be reluctant to help you since you are not from their constituency, which is what happened to me. All you need to bring with you is your file number and UCi number and your drivers licence confirming your address. Explain to them when you applied and what you want them to inquire about. You can be specific, I had sent a package, so I inquired if that had been received and they said yes. I also asked about the progress and stuff. Every MP has their own documentation to sign so that you will find when you get there.

hmm thanks really appreciate im worry bcz im 23 march applicant nd i saw fis same 23 march applicant got background check in process bt in my case dnt even get my medical updation on ma medical field in my cic not needed at this time ..
