Hi guys, I am June applicant. Still havent heard anything from ndvo. I think we june applicants should break our silence and talk to MPs to enquire about our files. What did we do to deserve such unfairness. I am gonna talk to my MP. Please suggest me, should i talk to MP on phone or write an email or personally book an appointment to meet him.

Hi, I am June1 Applicant and contacted MP already.They said my application nothing has started yet, need to wait. But see now Jan2016 applicant are getting DM. Dont understand what they are doing and what their strategy is.

I am May 8 ,2015 applicant. They transferred my file in July 13,2015 after that i never heard anything.
Medical already expired on March 19 and waiting for Re-medical request . I visit my local MP she told me give me Sponsor`s location in canada who already got visa after May 2015. That`s why i asked to share Canada location to see if location in Canada matters or not.

They are fulfilling their promise. They didn't promise anything to all the old applicants so we have to wait in line.

When did I say I am just waiting and watching. After thinking a lot and getting frustrated I applied for my wife's visitor visa and got approved.
Applied on April 25, 2016 and got approved on May 2, 2016. If she got rejected for visitor visa, I would have gone to India in summer to visit her or asked her to apply for USA visitor visa.

First, for all the applicants who keep asking about I did MP inquiry and they said they haven't touched our files and what should we do?

The answer to that is have patience. There is nothing an MP can do to make NDVO touch your file. MP can at most ask the status on your file and/or ask to send Re-med/PPR if it got lost in mail/email (for that you need to order notes).
So all MAY applicants who are waiting should order notes first before going to MP.

Second, for people who received Re-medical and haven't heard back: DON'T WORRY. Re-med means 99% eligibility cleared. They are probably stuck doing your background and security checks and that's why you haven't received PPR/DM.

Third, for people who have gotten DM but no PPR. DON'T WORRY. You will eventually get PPR. I have seen 2-3 cases by now where it has taken 1 MONTH after DM to get PPR.

Fourth, For people who are waiting for interview. NDVO does NOT send you an email/letter saying that you are recommended for interview (some rare cases they have). The only way to find out if you are in interview queue is by ordering notes or MP inquiry. You will know the Interview Date only when they send you the Interview letter. As previously stated, OCTOBER 2014 APPLICANTS are getting interview dates for JUNE 2016.

If they go at the same pace:
Nov. 2014 -- July 2016 (letter in June),
Dec. 2014 -- August 2016 (letter in July),
Jan. 2015 -- Sept. 2016 (letter in Aug)
Feb. 2015 -- Oct. 2016 (letter in Sep)
Mar. 2015 -- Nov. 2016 (letter in Oct)

If they go faster then you will hear a month earlier then what I just posted.

I don't think ndvo is literally skipping files. Maybe, the later files are being assigned to newer staff who was brought in and hence are quick with processing.

Maybe, 2015 applicants were already assigned an officer and are delayed because officer is working on previous applicants?

Yes, very likely what you are saying is true.

That is exactly what my Mp office said that the have skipped the files for some purpose.

I don't think they hired new staff. It's not that easy to relocate or hire new staff so fast. New govt came into action in oct 2015 and brought changes in CIC in dec. The results were started to be seen from March-April (globally). People who are getting DM now, their applications must have started to process from 1-2 months from now. and for sure no application is abandoned, it's just now who is in process and who is waiting. My guess is that they have split their staff, like, may be some of them are assigned to applications with timeline within 6-8 months so that they can show the processing time is reduced. while other officers processing on last year applications parallel. other thing to be considered is amount of applications. apr-july there are more than 2000 applications while oct-dec are not even close to 1000. this could be the reason that we see 2016 jan applicants getting dm.

I'm not expert here, it's just my guess. Even I wonder how they work and equally surprised to see how later applicants are getting DM so fast. But it in the end I keep my patience. NDVO officers are also humans and are away from their homeland and families/friends.. may be some of them are away from their spouses as well. So please don't criticize them. If we are frustrated from them, they might be equally frustrated from us.. lol. look at how much stuff we put in our applications. anyways there's never an end to a discussion or debate but my friends we are here to motivate and help each other.
