Hi everyone,

Feb applicant here. I am approved as a sponsor as of April 2015 and my husbands file is now currently in process as of October 9th.

My company is has announced it will be downsizing. If in any case I will be given redundancy and I will have to go on social welfare for a month or two while I look for another job, will this affect my husbands chance of getting PR?

How do we find out when my application when in- process it does not show me any date when it went in process? I filed my application on March 2nd 2015. It was showing application received since last month but when I checked it today it shows in-process but does not show me any date. Where do we see the date when it when in Process?

I saw one Jan 08 applicant apply for notes on Oct 20.Do you think they are doing eligibility checks on Jan applicants yet?

I think eligibility wud be over n background n security would be started seeing Sonu notes

We have same timeline.. Please keep in contact if you receive any updates.
I will apply for Notes in Dec end. Most of 2015 applicants notes were showing that NDVO did not even started to work on those files. Because they have to clear Nov/Dec files first before touching 2015. Dec will be slow because of christmas vacation..

Hello Marina,

As soon as you apply for a social assistant, you as a sponsor disqualify and you will be notified by CIC, in case you apply again to sponsor your spouse, your file will be having a red flag...

if you have worked and its downsizing you can apply for EI in downsizing case you will be eligible for EI. Ei will not effect your case.

What's yr exact time line?
Have u show my time line?I applied in June22,2015.
It will take time to settle down new policies on procedure.Before that we will be much ahead.

Congratulation Sonu,

Your application does not require an interview and since Eligibility is the base of your entire application I can say that 80% of your application is over, now you will get DM within few months...
