It's been shared several times in this forum that there's no point contacting them when we are way under our processing times...They've bluntly stated on their websites to not contact them unless there's an significant change on your file such as relationship status changes...address changes and etc....besides that they know that there's strike goin on and they can't really reply to any of the questions hence they just make excuses....now that's just my opinion...I feel its just a waste of time to call them up....I don't even go for GCMS as there's no point in doin so....what is it goin to say....it'll just say that background check pending or security check pendin...what else nothin else...neways all this is my opinion...correct me if m wrong

Its not just visa officers working on our files. There might be lot of background work which is done by non-visa officers (I guess they may even be local recruitees). So I guess that information you can get from GCMS notes... even background check, security check etc might be done by some third party... so may be you can get some information about those things in the GCMS notes.
Again, this is my opinion... I may be wrong.. its all my assemptions...

Maybe you're right Gupta...but I still would like to wait until strike is over and post that if it still takes time to hear from them then I would go for GCMS...

Hello Guys,

I have applied for my husbands sponsership in march 2013. He lived in canada for 3 years before I applied and he is currently in India waiting for the visa. Any news from march applicants?? The file is currently in Delhi and we have already sent his passport.But nothing since April 2013.

He has a work permit till nov 2014 in canada (He applied for it when he was still in canada and got approved) but he ONLY had single entry in canada, which he doesnt have anymore so With the spousal application & work permit till nov 2014.. is there a faster way to get him here? Maybe apply for multiple entries?? but if he comes here on work permit with multiple entry.. and when spousal PR comes, does he have to go back to india to pick up his PR?

And our close friend is getting married on aug 25, 2013 in canada.. can his PR process work faster with a wedding invitation??

Well I know I am a little negative there but honestly it looks like PAFSO is loosing it demands because the other head of the union PSAC is now involved and they are pushing them to come to a decision soon.

Don't worry , they are working on our files in very slow manner. I requested them to change my home address on 10 July 2013 and It had been changed yesterday morning. I know its hard but we can't do anything expect awaiting. Hope this strike will finish very soon.
