Dear Mumble,

I could see that your application is "In Process" since Sept 26,12 and you got PPR on 10th Oct. I am wondered why ND VO could not returned your PP with Visa even after 45 days. :o :o Ask your spouse to order CAIPS.

Hopefully you may get your PP in coming week.

Good Luck

We have ordered for GCMS notes. But we have not received them yet. I will let you guys know what happens as soon as we get them. I am hoping I will get passport before that. there are other people whose passport they have from 3-4 months too.

Hi all,

What is caips? Secondly, I found few things which may be causing our files to take sometime to get approved; 1- they have to be comfortable that the marriage is legit, 2- medical is in good order and 3- most likely the delay for approval is due to the intelligence report they have to get in addition to the police report and from what I found out this depends on the officer who has to sign the request and typically where the outlet neck is caused. This is not in the NDVO control. As well, NDVO does not have a target number of applications per year "quota" however they are currently looking to complete certain files prior to year end, I.e. file numbers before a certain number. F000xxxxx that number. Hope that helps. I am now going into the 6 month of my case and waiting patiently and getting harder each day. You all have been a huge help as I check out this blog almost daily. Best of luck of everyone and hope all our spouses are with us for the holidays. #fingerscrossed.

Hey nice to see you in this forum and also agree with your views toward the cause of delays in each and every applicants case but your 2nd opinion, delay for approval is due to the intelligence report they have to get in addition to the police report, please can you explain more briefly, if you don't mind.

Thanks.

It is True that CIC some get background check and other admissibility checks before issuing a Permanent Resident Visa which some time take even more than 2-3 months depending upon Person Travel History or VO's demand. This check has been done by various agencies.

So we have to wait with patience. ;D

Good Luck to All

Guy did you know nearly 150 new PR was issued visa due to a glitch in the computer, even though their applications were scheduled to be terminated due to a new rule issued in the most recent budget.

Lucky 150's ;)

Approximately 150 new Canadian Permanent Residents were allowed to stay in Canada even though their visas had been issued by mistake.

Approximately 150 new Canadian Permanent Residents were allowed to stay in Canada even though their visas had been issued by mistake.

A computer glitch resulted in the individuals receiving Permanent Resident visas even though their applications were scheduled to be terminated due to a new rule issued in the most recent budget.

Canadian Immigration Minister Jason Kenney announced that he would use his ministerial powers to allow the individuals to keep their Permanent Residency.

'It was an administrative error on the part of my ministry," Kenney said. “We make over two million decisions a year, about 7,000 a day. We are making a major IT change so I think it’s understandable that a small error of this nature would be made.”

All individuals who received visas have passed security screenings and been deemed admissible to the country. Among those who were caught up in the error was a Moroccan family who arrived in Canada on Friday, only to be informed at the airport that their visas were not valid. Despite the initial confusion, they and the other immigrants affected by the glitch can now move on to starting their new lives in Canada.

Your sponsor or the person who is a Canadian citizen can apply CAIPS for you. The fee is only CAD 5.00 and your authorization should be there along with application. The best way to order CAIPS by email; it would be faster than notes on Paper.

Good Luck.

Last week we received a letter from MP saying that our application is "awaiting initial reviews" so would you suggest whether it will be good enough to order CAIPS or have to wait for few days, I knew the fees of GCMS notes its 5 $ can but not sure about the CAIPS fee ?
