Thank you scorpionking.
Dear Fadil,
I read your post and you talked about a second passport request. Were you an exception or do we have a choice of not sending the passport when they request it for the first time.
The reason I ask is because I would like to try a visitor visa for my wife so she can visit me here in Canada and maybe stay for a few months.

I am still far away in the process but would like to know and plan accordingly

Thanks

another tuesday gone :( n ecas status is still the same............

Guys,

I need some advise. I was thinking of applying for a visitor visa to visit my husband in christmas. But currently I do not have a job. Hence I cannot provide any proof (Like a letter from HR that I am employed at their company and I am on leave) that I will return to India once visit is done. Can anyone suggest me what can be done in this case.

Hi,

Yes, we all have a choice and request Visa Office to send 'Passport Request' (PPR) in the final review stage. (At the time of visa issuance) When got my initial PPR, I was not able to send it as I work and live in UAE. So, responded to the initial PPR saying the reason why I m not able to submit now and request it in the final review stage. This is acceptable by the Visa office.

The only problem is that, the processing time would be longer than usual. As you can see my timeline on left. :) So its your choice.

I hope this helps.

Good luck.

Hey mumble, spousal visas are mainly followed and issued by CIC depending on their application timelines and the inevidable documents produced to them for their satisfaction of completing of assessment for issuing the visa early to each applicant and most probably waiting for any result for long duration will burn our inner patience, your status is "In process" and hopefully I assume that visas will be issued to all of them whose ecas has changed to Inprocess and then to decision made before Christmas, they wont entertain visit visa for anyone in between whose permanent residence application is in progress unless if its a serious health related matter in "emergency". I will suggest you to wait and have patience for good result as i was refused once in same situation.

Good lucks :)

Ecase updated...

Now its showing my sponsor's partial Canada address as home address on left. And my India mailing address on right.

My eCas was updated on 6th Nov 2012 after my successful Interview on 30/10/2012. I was being told by VO that It would take approx 2 months to get my passport back with visa but still I am checking my eCase every on and off. ;D ;D ;D

Why Waiting is difficult??? I wish I would celebrate X-mas and New year with my souse in Canada. :)

Lets see............. ;)

What is wrong with these people!! I just cannot believe, we are waiting so long and counting.

Dear Mumble,

I could see that your application is "In Process" since Sept 26,12 and you got PPR on 10th Oct. I am wondered why ND VO could not returned your PP with Visa even after 45 days. :o :o Ask your spouse to order CAIPS.

Hopefully you may get your PP in coming week.

Good Luck
