Hi frns,

I have mentioned p.o box number on the courier, will that make any difference. I have sent them the documents requested one month ago, I am worried whether they have received courier or not.

whats the courier service u used?

I would suggest you to limit your stay for a short period... Dont take any chances....
All the best..:)

Is there really a law or it's just a speculation that it slows down the processing??
Am asking this because my wife is coming to India next week for about 3 months because my Mom had a surgery last month and now she wants my wife to be with her all the time till she recovers completely..
I visited this forum like everyday but when I read this post I got confused.. Please tell me, she has to come and it's not possible to cancel the trip, any suggestions or mails need to be send to NDVO for intimating this??

if there is emergency then may be they allow but i guess u should get permission prior to coming .. if she is citizen then she can stay as long as she can but if she is pr then it may create problem because i have read somewhere in the form that some people got refusal only on these basis that their spouse was not in canada while processing .. so i guess she should talk to MP regarding the same may be he will help u out what to do ..... because its also rule that spouse should be present in canada for whole process if he /she is PR

contacting MP is the best.. may be u can apply forr emergency visa.. it might also help u to tell the ND that ur spouse needs to come on an emergency requirement...
