Does my wife have to be home to receive the Passport with Visa sent via post by CHC-ND? Can a family member receive it in her absence?

A DM is showing on my wife's E-CAS status this morning.

"A decision has been made on XXXX's application. The office will contact XXXX concerning this decision."

However, her address did not get updated to my Canada address. It's still showing her India address. Does this mean we can expect the Passport with PR VISA now?

If this is the case, any idea how long will it be before the Passport arrives (ND to Mumbai)?

Thanks & Congrats Jenny.

Did you get a new UCI no for India?

LOL, even emails from government offices reach after 4 days....lol

If you thought 4 days was bad... my wife's took 3 weeks since the PPR letter was dated and the time it took for the actual email to arrive.

That sucks my friend....(may be someone forgot to click "Send" after writing the email, and they realized after 3 weeks that the mail is still not sent, lol)
Hopefully they will compensate that delay by issuing you a visa quickly. ;)

Login with applicant's details (not sponsor's) using filenumber and you will see it.

Btw, I saw someone's post asking why the state name isn't showing up in Ecas. It is the same case with me on the ecas...however on the PPR request letter I received the full mailing address included the state name and the pincode. So, that confirms the VO *does* have an applicant's full address (whatever you filled out on the form) but whatever reason it may or may not shown on ecas. I hope this helps!

Thats all right Thomas, it wont affect the application, i hope the explanation was given on the Form #5490 where they ask about honey moon trip...

Worst case scenario they might call you for an interview where they can discuss this matter with you in detail.

Sumit

Thanks Sumit... yeah i can explain the VO if they call me for an Interview...

hoping for the best...
